This is sweet.
I remember standing at SCN staring at this car with the Expands, and red/gold scheme. One of my bigger inspirations to grab a 240 fastback. Nice to see a high level Canadian 240, but then again, cars repping Speedtech tend to be on the bonkers side anyways, Speaking of which... I don't think I saw this at DTP this year... didn't make it?

I was sponsored by BFgoodrich, which required me to goto shows to receive free tires. Fuck shows.
Energy Subframe bushings. First impressions. - Little to no extra vibrations, there is a minor one but I cant tell if its the exhaust or the drive shaft causing vibration on down shift... It happens once in a while. - The car is very responsive at lower speeds and controllable at higher speeds 160+. - eliminates that floaty feeling at high speeds. - The car was raised about 1/2 an inch on my car by installing these and on my buddies they raised his car about 1". - You get a snappy feel when manji'ing(sp?) I was scared these were gonna ruin the ride quality, but in actuality it did not add much vibration at all. The response it adds is amazing. It was a fairly long install, about 5 - 6 hours with 2 people, may take longer if you want to clean everything up like I did. I wire brushed(rotary) all the bolts and plates, cleaning up all the rust off them. Changed diff fluid and reseal the diff as it was leaking. |

Hot car.
You wont see stuff like this come out of Vancouver. Calgary = Nothing to do but work and cars. NO NIGHTLIFE hah (joking) Makes me wish I kept with my hatch instead of picking up a coupe. Also makes me want to move to Calgary and make tons more than here. How are the girls in Calgary? Vancouver's full of LA-posers with their Metrosexual Christian Audiger sponsored BF's. |

kinda flash backing here but...
the aluminum steering colum bushing thing that you had such a hard time with.. took me about 20 minutes to install haha.. theres a bolt on the lower half of the shaft that clamps down on the splines. once you loosen that you can slide it down and slip the aluminum bushing in easily. |

nopes, didnt have to take out the column, just had to loosen that one bolt that clamps onto the splines, on the lower half of the column, close to the joint where it meets the rack, then the shaft will slide in and out for easy access to that bushing.
now you know for next time super duper nice car btw, makes me miss my 180 |

So finally got rid of them all. Trying to get a new set of wheels for next season, but having trouble sourcing a set for decent price. Canadian dollar is poop right now, have to wait till it raises to order a set. suck.
Some last pics of my T/A's Its parked for winter, gonna be working on the interior (refurbishing the electronics, ie heater control) Last edited by kuruptR; 12-16-2014 at 02:01 PM.. |
