1992 S13 Coupe Swap from poop Rb20det to _____

MY new project
old motor


oil return line dented from the previous motor mounts


oil pan all messed up from the motor mount failure

old crossmember

wires everywhere fail

where in the world are these wires coming from

just a clutter of wires













this is my new project done with the old car now this one getting ready for a new motor along with a complete wire tuck and painting the engine bay

yea this is the one from cville poorly done and the first owner with the swap did a poor job and rig too many things but its all gone now getting the bay ready for welding un needed holes and shaving it done and ready for paint.

forgot to finish this here yall go





picked up the new motor and sand blasted a few nasty parts



brought them back from blue




last owner used a stock s13 fuel pump to fuel the rb20 so a walbro was a must








finally done and more to come

its a rb25det hey i am doing rb20det you thing i can use my ka tranny mounts i buy the kit but i need mounts to if you know what i mean...

what i did i got the jgy engine mounts and tranny bracket (Top Hat mounts) for the rb25 with the ka trans mount, might be the same with the 20

Wow looking a lot better man, nice to see you doing things right unlike the previous owner. I want some more interior shots of your gauge cluster when you get it hooked up. I have a dash and other stuff for sale just in case you need some interior stuff. Check my thread. Where are you located btw?

How did you clean/strip the blue paint off the 962's without eating through the clear coat?

had to take the clear coat off. i put layers of paint thinner all over the wheel let it sit for about 30mins and took it all off.
-low grit from local part stores
-mid grit
-high grit
all wet sands
then polish(speedys polish) , primer(dupli color), paint(dupli color wheel paint), and if you keep on top of your wheels you need no clear

very nice build... kinda wish i lived back home in va... i got lucky when i got my 240 with rb20... it was a pretty clean job... where in va are you from...

with a custom driveshaft, but it wont even be worth it. internals are different lengths
