hydraulic lifters

before I begin, this is relating to front wheel drive sr20de from my 1993 infiniti g20

I'm recently rebuilding my engine and I was going to replace my hydraulic lifters with newer ones from another engine. what I noticed was that on my highport 1993 engine, the intake lifters were slightly taller than the exhaust side.. Is is suppose to be the case? also when I was trying to bleed the taller/intake ones, the allen key will go down, but i'll have to push the round head down separately. 2 of them were actually real hard to push down.

the donor motor has same length lifters for both intake and exhaust and they're all pretty smooth.
