How the hell would we know this? You think somebody is keeping stats on these old ass cars? Browse the "Stolen" boards and judge for yourself:
http://zilvia.net/f/forumdisplay.php?f=95

More often than not, I hear about S13's getting stolen way more often. Not sure why since they're equally easy to break into. Just had to break into my s14 2 days ago. Preventing theft is the same as it is for any other car. Detachable steering wheel, park it in a garage, hidden kill switches, etc...

Was pumpin gas the other day, saw one guy get out of an S14 and go into the store. Another guy came out of the store with his keys and took off. We found him in the bathroom face in the toilet bowl with his underwear wrapped over his head.

What simmode1 said, don't be a dumbass, buy a good alarm system and use preventative measures such kill switches, quick releases and parking your car some where smart, and obviously not being a dumbass

Cars get stolen when they have little to no anti theft.

I've noticed more often than not shitty looking cars get stolen the most.

Like any popular car, if someone wants it bad enough they will figure a way to take it. All you can do is try your best by not attracting more attention to yourself and your car.

Buy a good alarm and have someone that knows wtf they are doing install it
Park in well lit public areas when dark
Garage when you can
Put away and hide your toys to lessen temptation
DO NOT go to stupid car meets and show off your stuff to the trolls and thieves
IF you happen to meet "NEW" so called car friends DO NOT SHOW or tell them where you live

The list goes on and on.

I have known several friends with very nice cars that were taken and never seen again. More often if they really want it they will just tow the sucker and strip it clean.

It will get stolen once a year. Just park it in a garage on that day and you should be fine.

I guess a better question would be, "how many s14's have you stolen?" Me personally zero, but I'm not a piece of shit either.

Anyone who really wants to steal your car is going to regardless of an alarm, detachable steering wheel, or any other preventative method. IMO you're safest with something that can notify you that the car has been moved immediately and then track its location.

My dad had lojack on his last car, I moved it from the garage to the street (about 30 ft) and walked straight back inside. The phone was ringing before I even got to the door. About 10sec after that I got a call from my dad saying lojack called him and asking what I did with the car. Its not the cheapest option but its effective and they can disable the car remotely if necessary. A good route to go for the paranoid 240 owner or those with a lot of money invested in mods.

Not true. A buddy of mine had a kill switch on his fuel pump circuit in his DC2 Integra. The thieves ran a hot wire from the battery to the fuel pump to bypass it.

The bottom line is that if someone knowledgeable REALLY wants your car there is NOTHING you can do to stop it. All you can do is avoid dumb shit and scare off the joy-riders. The biggest dumb shit is going to "meets" to show your car off.

when i had my civic si there were 5+ attempted thefts on it. never were able to steal it. A backup battery with a police siren installed sent them running. even if u flat bedded it the alarm would still go off due to a mercury switch.
