The 335i feels so damn heavy though. The Z4 is too far the opposite. Feels like a poorly built paper airplane attempting to take off whenever you hit a pothole. The 135i is the perfect in between. Feels very light and nimble. Steers quickly and sharply. Good 'ole torquey turbo straight six. Massive six-piston front brake calipers that will put you through the windshield. If you want a BMW, the 135i is THE car to buy.

New Benz M256 is looking pretty sick. AMG version is 429hp. Not the black stars best work, but I'll take it over a fish belly 1-series. We will have to see if Daimler shoves into something smaller. E53 Coupe |

To be fair, sticking with the same chassis for many years isn't something new for Japanese car companies. Fd3s, z32, rps13, jza80, ap1/2. But most of these cars had multiple trim levels, engine options or were just very unique, special cars in high demand.
Not sure what's keeping the 370z train going.. |

Yeah many manufacturers are focusing on crossovers now as that is the biggest seller. Sedans are dying too. The 370Z is so freaking expensive and only two seater.. I'd had a Corvette I think before juan of those. Or a 5.0 stang for sure

370z, the bell doth toll for thee...
Man, did we already talk about this 400hp VR30DDTT powered SEMA 370Z and how Nissan refuses to sell it to us? https://www.roadandtrack.com/car-sho...-23-sema-2018/

^Same reason they should make a boosted GT86 and offer it.. Just something with 250hp or so. Could even be from the WRX. But perhaps they figure that could would be into the 30k range and they think no one would buy it.. Who knows.
We must remember that these companies are in business to make money, not to make cool cars, generally. So we should be excited when they make anything sporting at all. Gah! |

American cars in the late 60s as well. But the market has trended toward crossovers and that's why many manufacturers are focusing on those vehicles. Ford has said that within a few years they will sell no cars in the US other than the Mustang and possibly that global chassis lifted Focus thing

The Japanese have their heads up their asses and are stuck in the 90's. You can see this all over the comments by that Toybaru team and the emphasis on "balance". That car would be making 600whp if it was from a domestic or European manufacturer. How is it any different then a Corvette or 911? Toyota could have dropped a EZ30R or EZ36 and people would have been ecstatic. Flat six bumble, 250-275hp and really no sacrifice to fuel economy. Bump the price $3,500 and run laughing to the bank. F6 is like 2" longer then the F4 engines and fits all day. |

The Full size sedan and wagon got replaced by the mid size and Minivan. Minivans got replaced by SUVs and those by crossovers. The new mini-crossovers are replacements for compacts because the EPA expectations for compacts has gotten out of hand and classifications push everyone into trucks and subs. https://jalopnik.com/how-the-governm...-truck-5948172 |
