^^ Hockey pucks have been used for short term applications for decades when a custom mount location is needed. ^^
To the OP, I have heard of people using cut pieces of oak for mounts for test fitting engines in bays on numerous occasions for custom set-ups. But that's it, only used them for height and depth of where they would like the motor to sit (can cut and shim the mount, then fabricate the actual mount)....I never ever heard of any one running them for any kind of actual driving use. |

Im using wooden mounts on my rb as we speak, I will never go back to solid
I have to replace them every day and my engine rocks back and forth all the time. I hear splitting when I redline but its totally worth it! |
