s14 Electric Fans/Hayden Fan controller help

During my build I installed the Mishimoto fan shroud and after my DIF controller burned up as soon as it went into the "programming mode", I decided to use a Hayden fan controller with a push-in probe I purchased from Advance. For the first month that it was installed it worked as it should but one night I heard it come on several hours after the car had not been running. I checked the relay, and the 2 in-line fuses. After pulling the relay then putting it back in, the fans stayed on constantly. I figured the controller was a lemon, took it back and got a new one (one year warranty). Installed the new one and it worked fine for a few days and now this controller keeps the fans on constantly and drains the battery.

I'm pretty sure my wiring is done correctly as they had worked perfect for a short time being. If someone could help me figure this wiring out i'd greatly appreciate it. Possible this controller is a lemon too ? Here's some pictures of how my connections are.

Circled in:
Red -Relay/controller
Purple- Connection to battery
Green- Ignition (where I had the wire originally)
Yellow- Stock fan relay

A/C override wire tapped into oem fan harness

And does anyone know exactly what the hell these numbers stand for?

What fans are you running and how many fans are you running? Also, what size wires are you using? Its probably burning up the controllers since its pulling a butt load of amps.

I'm running 2 12" mishimoto fans Nissan 240SX S14 Performance Aluminum Fan Shroud Kit, 1995-1998 SR20 Engine, by Mishimoto

From their website, they say each fan has 12.25v, 5.7amps, and current ~8a. I used 14g wire (its says 17amp/204w on the package, I just grabbed whatever looked to be the right size wire) to extend the fan wires to the controller. Both wires from the controller leading to the fan have an 30amp in-line fuse and I took the two separate grounds from each fan and spliced them together, then grounded them to the chassis.

Sounds like the yellow wire is connected to a 12v constant source, it should be connected to an ignition on 12v source. Use a stock relay for this, but the energized side not the 12v constant side. HTMS

I attached my yellow wire to the stock fan relays "ignition post". Fans started to work fine but now today the car started getting too hot. I took the yellow wire out of the relay post and just touched it to the battery and nothing. I even tried a new relay on the controller. Could it be possible I have yet another piece of shit controller? Could I take my two electric fans and just wire them to the a/c fan?

It's becoming clear that you don't know how to work your unit!
If you connect it correctly, set the temp to which you want your fans to come on!
I have mine set to 85°C
if your engine for some reason, "get's too hot" use the manual override trigger. the green wire. I have mine wired to the AC on button. I use it when, I turbo time down from a high temp that hasn't triggered my fans yet.

What's the too high temperature?

If you like, I can get you pictures, and a video of my system working and you can compare the two, my setup and yours?

Oh yeah It's most likely, you keep killing the units as apposed to keep getting shitty ones.
