s14 1jzgte s14 smoking. Please help.

Hey guys,

So i recently purchased my s14 with a blown motor(spun rod bearing). I went to Miami bought a used long block from JDM of Miami and put everything back together and now the damn thing is smoking. BAD. White smoke and when i rev it, it gets worse. Please see attached video.

Let me know what you guys think it is.

could be your head gasket, or a crack in the water jacket.. white smoke usually has to do with your head gasket. have you tried to drive it like that if so, have you lost any power ?

No I haven't drove it like that. I just got it running and boom it's smoking. What's the water jacket? Around the pistons?

looks like a blown HG. when you put it back together did you torque all the bolts down to the right specs? did you replace HG with metal head gasket?

Edit: im assuming or atleast I hope you did new water pump/timing belt.

yeah its the ports around the cylinders.. but thats worst case .. considering you just put it in im pretty sure its your head gasket. theres no telling how long these motors sit, some time you get lucky an there's no problems on start up.

White is usually headgasket / blue is usually oil. More then likely you need to replace the headgasket. Sorry to see you having problems. At least your 1jz is running.
