i recently failed an emissions test and i know some will say Fuck the emissions but its mandatory in the UK for a car after 1992.

car is standard apart from Apexi airfilter and Catback exhaust.

car still has the cat fitted but on my Rolling Road session they couldn't complete my power run because the car was running lean.

i can hear the fuel pump whining when i increase the revs and ive had a quick check over the Wing mount intercooler which seems fine.

i just cant seem to get my head around the problem.

i seem to have a high idle which rarely drops below 1000rpm and also when coming to a set of lights when i dip the clutch the revs shoot up to 1500rpm for no reason.

can anyone help me out?
