Wheel/Tire Sizes FC RX7

I tried running some 17x9.5 +15 battles up front w 235/40s on stock fenders and I guess I was being a little ambitious as they have a bit too much poke and will rub like crazy at full lock.

What wheel/tire combo are you FC guys up front? Pics would be helpful. Would bumping down to a 17x9 up front rectify the situation or do I need to go narrower still?

The width of the wheel will make no difference if you're running the same tire. You need a higher offset. If you would post a pic with a tape measure showing the poke for reference it would likely lead to more helpful replies. This is a Nissan forum, most of us aren't RX7 experts.

Working on getting pictures, they sit a little better in the rear. They only came in one offset for the 9.5s, the 9 is a +30. I realize it's a Nissan forum, but there are a few rx7 guys lurking around.

running extended ball joints and neg camber will help you fit them but you'll need to pull the fenders a bit still, 17x9+30 would probably wrk better but i guess it depends on wat your trying to do, i run 17x8+5 205/45 25mm extended ball joints and a good amount of neg camber i also have modded knuckles so with the setup i have the inner barrel doesn't hit the sway bar at full lock

Drift/fun street car. Not daily driving it. What car are you using? Pics?

Pull the fenders a little, more camber, smaller tire (225/45). That's not that bad, you could make it fit without doing anything stupid or extreme.

I couldn't find a shop willing to put a 225/45 on around here

I'll keep that in mind. I'm getting some bodywork done, so may just get the fenders flared while I'm at it
