cluster problems

Car is a 92 coupe w/ s13 sr

well to start it off, we just swapped the engine into my s13 and when we hooked up the battery all the dummy lights(gas,seatbelt,brake, etc) would stay on, as well as my SAFC with out the key being in the ignition.

so that being i took the engine bay harness from my old car that had the SR originally in it and put that into the car and the problem went away.

then i noticed not everything on the cluster was working, only the Clock/Back Lights/ and the gas gauge some what, but the Tach/Speedo/Temp/Dummy lights do NOT work


i have tried different clusters, different cluster harnesses, checked out the fuses, nothing.

Are you sure you wired the little harness above the ecu, connecting the cluster harness correctly?

the s13 with sr's need the jdm cluster can't use the oem american version only seen the jdm ones work properly from what ive seen anyway

i also have this same problem.. and im using my cluster of my front clip...

no....usdm clusters work fine. as long as they're wired correctly. seen more than a dozen work.
