at around 30mph, i start to hear a loud/deep tone coming from the back exhaust side of my car. as i drive faster, the tone gets higher pitched. its not raspy either. even when i throw it into neutral and coast, i will hear the sound till it drops below like 30mph.

i see no leaks from the piping. can the canister go bad?

I dont think its your exhaust if you throw it in neutral and you still hear it.

More likely its a bearing. EX: Wheel Hub, Drive shaft Carrier Bearing, Tranmission, Diff Bearings, CV axles

Start looking into those
