Wheres the build on this? You just got the damn car. We dont do in-progress "build" threads here. Its prefered that you dont post up stuff like these until you are well into it...
"Build Threads Almost everyone enjoys building their cars and sharing that experience, as well as checking out others' builds for inspiration. Sadly, far too many users have a tendency to do half-hearted builds and either rarely update or update with trivial progress. In the interest of keeping the Chat forum clear of three hundred 'Install SR, ziptie aero, rattlecan paint' threads, incomplete, or in-progress build threads are not allowed. If you have completed your build, wrangle all those pictures into a post and tell us about it, but make sure the build is finalized. If you insist on having an in-progress build, Premium members have a specialized subforum for that specific purpose." And for the love of God, please dont sticker up the fucking car... |

Confused..... but Congrats on a clean car. Plans seem to be good. I hope they are actual plans and not day dreams.

Anything with a asterisk dont buy and do research and dont be a cheap fuck building a car. A project like this should represent you and you should take pride in your work and not buy shit for it because thats all you can afford or you think its good enough.Just wait and save your pennies and look for bargains.
NO offense but please dont make the kouki look like that prelude. If you wanna sell the kouki better yet lmk. 240sx “Sloane” Build List * = Acquired items Engine and Drivetrain: KA24DET w/ Speed Transmission(Exedy Stage 2 Clutch and Lightweight Flywheel)(Rebuilt w/3k miles) * just cause it gets annoying after a while welded Diff *Full 3” HKS Hi Power Exhaust -Also fabing up a set of custom blast pipes and test pipe AiresearchT3/T4 Hybrid turbo (TO4B compressor housing .60 AR machined to fit TO4E 57 compressor wheel. Wow... tough crowd here. Sorry to offend everyone from the forum for making a progression thread. I just thought id try to introduce myself, my car, and my plan as well as daily updates.
Anyways, I understand some may disagree with my plan... and constructive criticism is welcome. However, I am building this car for myself... and not suit all zilvians. Some may like my taste... some may not. I am not building a "fanboy" car like some may call it, but i most def wont ruin this kouki as many of you seem to think. As far as this car... it will be nothing like my prelude... which in mine and many of the guys in the prelude community was regarded as a fairly "clean" car (minus the sticker lip which i slapped on for a month out of randomness)... i dont see what was so wrong with this... And as for everyone suggesting the lsx...i actually like the swap ... but it would be nice for you to consider that not everyone wants to drop 10 grand on an lsx swap for daily driving. Yes i actually like the idea of the swap... just not for me. As far as my items that i have already blueshark ... i like em... tons of zilvians use em... and i dont see why not... they may not be elite... but its my car, not yours. * welded Diff ... most predictable diff... always locked up and i like it that way. *Full 3” HKS Hi Power Exhaust... dont see why this is a problem... i love its low tone. *CX Racing T3/T4 Top Mount Manifold... will be rewelded and braced... functions fine. *CX Racing Radiator... sold... do not want (typo lol) *Isis Short Shifter... thought they were okay but a better suggestion would be nice. *Custom Killswitch Box w/ Push Button Start ... idc im doing it anyways. *Bride Lo Max Replica Seats/Custom Rails ... debating on just getting one real seat instead *VIS WINGS (INGS) Knockoff kit ... beauty is in the eye of the beholder i like this kit. *Full Vinyl Wrap in Matte Dark Grey ... will be done professionally... my friend does fleet car wrapping and advertising for a living. *Isis Suspension Arm Package... functions fine for my needs *17x9 Saleen Wheels ... i like em... not dead set on wheels as of yet. And id like to thank boost_fiend for not being a dick lol I apologize for wasting your time zilvia. Mods may lock if they so please. |

^^ please elaborate on "all that crap". Not everyone is a baller. Boosting the ka is totally fine. Most of these people one here are jerks and drive pos s13's that are SLOW. And for that reason this forum is slow as hell (but i still love it) with a chat section that is full of retarded mega threads about "builds" and picture threads about "whatever". and as a recommendation you should probably go with the isis ka24de mani. Ive heard some bad things about CX, and I've been rockin the isis manifold on my sr for over a year now. Still going strong.

Thanks for the input on the manifold man. I was going back and forth between the cx and isis manis... both are relatively in the same price range... both will be braced and rewelded if need be.
I am not here to build a historic silvia. I love my cars, yes... but i also have things like school, bills, a girlfriend, and a life to spend money on as well. As far as i am concerned all of "that crap" he doesnt like... i think will look and function fine for my needs. I only want a fun 250 rwhp daily driver that i can sling sideways with some friends on the weekends. Im sure he'd rather me do something like jdm kouki aero... or a vertex lang kit with an lsx sitting on some jlines or rays wheels with some kw clubsport coilovers etc. etc. or just a straight up track slut. |

And I didn't see anything about engine management, but you should definitely spend the bulk of you $$ on a decent engine management set up. Im sure many will agree that is the most important part for any turbo set up. Reflashes are cool and will only run you like $500, but you wont regret full standalone......... And the sikky ls mount kit is only 1,750 and that is pretty much all you need. dont be intimidated by the ls, that motor is super simple. Just some food for thought
And I love how this guy is talking trash with a pic of an s13 with crap paint and no bumper for his avatar. That thing better have an ls because I dont see an intercooler. Come on son! |

Yeah i am not sure of my ems yet. PSI proformance charges 500 to socket and chip your ecu and dyno tune your setup. A few of my buddys go there... and have yet to have a problem. But i may go the extra mile... not sure yet.
Im not intimidated by the ls... i honestly just dont see its practicality for me right now. I want to keep it in the nissan family ... if i do a glorious swap id rather go rb25. More my style. |

If you're dead set on going KA-T...go to to KA-T.org. You ca turbo the KA but its very very very very very unforgiving if you dont know what you're doing. Invest on a really good tuning setup, thats the one thing I wouldnt skimp on. The moment you blow the KA, you'd wish you just went LSx.
