Its so sad what they do to nice cars when they bring them to america... 120 hp? Give me a break. And its fwd!! I doubt they will bring over the evolution, and if they do, hp will be nominal compared to jspec. Im sad. Wheres my sr20det btw? |

I think it's the same as the Lancer over there...and what we want are the Lancer Evo VII's. It's like they pretended they didn't know that when we said "send us the Lancer" we meant "send us the Evo." I figure if they do send over the Evo, it will coincide with Subaru supposedly bringing over the WRX Sti in 2003.

what a disapointment. they tease us with the evo in carshows and they bring us a p.o.s. 120hp fish turd! and i dont really care if the wrx looks ugly. i can get around that. plus thats why they make body kits. but i heard theyre bringing over the new rsx type r and toyota is thinking about makeing a new supra (yes!) and the skyline is coming too (suposedly) but its not a boy racer 2door sports car. its a sedan thats gonna compete with the lexus is and bmw 3 series. they keep promising us the cars they bring but the bend the rules and give us detuned versions of the japanese models. when will they realize that they could be making so much money on those cars if they brought them!!

i've thought of that quite a few times. i don't speak japanese, so i wouldn't be able to get a good job (to afford the nice cars) so that wouldn't work out. i would move to australia though, they have some of japan's good cars. give me a day i'll learn their accent, and land a good job <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

if you *really* wanted a lancer evo or a skyline you could always import one... www.j-garage.com
plus I heard that they are definitely thinking about bringing the evo VII in 2003 and not a crippled teenager version...as for the skyline, I heard it is coming as well but yes, it is a 4 door without the whopping 280 hp of the r34 |

I hope the Evo makes it here to the states, in all it's glory. I was reading an article that claimed that an inside source at nissan japan has given the green light for the GTR to grace the streets here in the states! I hope it's true. As for the WRX, Nice car, but you'd think they would make it more attractive! That front end is just f-ugly.

The rear of it looks like a Kia Rio on crack, but I kinda like the front. Anyway, I'd pick the Impreza's reliable 4WD and a H.O. engine over an Evo, any day. So what if it's ugly? This month's Sport Compact Car issue has quite a few pages on some WRXs which are running low 13s with just a few modifications and look awesome. You guys should check it out!

Dont you guys realize it isnt the car manufacturers fault!? IT is us regulations. They would bring that shit over definitely if we didnt have bumper and smog regs. But yea its also the fact taht there really isnt a us market for skylines and evos. Those cars will PROBABLY be expensive if they brought them over and the only people that could afford them would be like older people that want the luxury of an audi or lexus. PLus japanese cars are SO underrated. NObody wants to spend 40 gs for a japanese car. Except lexus cause poeple dont even realise lexus is japeanes. LOL
