But yeah, like I said, I want as much tire as I can fit in the front, for the best grip, plus I'll be rocking used tires only in the rear. I don't want to have a gnarly rake when I mount a 245/45 or something huge like that back there.

Here's video of my current setup - In Cars on Vimeo (black coupe). I'm going for a similar look, just with bigger wheels...
What wheels are you buying? Yeah i'd go 235 as well, Try using eccentric bolts (camber bolts) they work really well! oh alright i understand what you mean by rake with different sized tires.

SICK video lol song was perfect!! what did you use for editing? i'm planning to make a video like that as well with stanced cars and if you could give me some tips it would be awesome!

Thanks

I'm getting 526s with 25mm spacers in front and I already have ~30mm spacers in the rear. I'm thinking either eccentric bolts or notching my lower brackets. I guess eccentric bolts would be the better way to go. The rears should fit perfect though.

Thanks, man! I use a Macbook Pro 4 with Final Cut Pro 6. You can see more of my videos here - Justin Shreeve on Vimeo

Yeah, I can give you some pointers. What do you need to know?

Oh, I've got another question for you. Where did you get your eccentric bolts? Online or in person? I figure I could find them locally, but I wanted to know if there was a reputable place that I could order from online that you've already dealt with, so I know it's legit. Let me know!

I just recently picked up a vert and this is how I want my vert to look like.
I am contemplating whether to stay KA or go RB25.

Shit this thread is old... anways.. update on the super stock build is that it is still 100% running in perfect order! Badass Inc. Manifold is still holding up great! no cracks or leaks of any kind.. Alex did some seriously badass work.

Its been over a year now and the Enthalpy tune was perfect.. all my AFR's are in the range they need to be in, i could not be happier with this tune.

I will however be redoing my KA-T setup for this year (2012).
Basic parts list for new set up are:
-Aem EMS... Purchased
-20g turbo... Purchased
-SARD 850cc injectors... Purchased
-Air to water intercooler
-ARP headstuds.. Purchased
-Wiseco pistons (.040 over)... Purchased
-Eagle rods.. Purchased
-Clevite main and rod bearings.. purchased
-Felpro full gasket set.. purchased
-248/248 cams.. Purchased
-Chromoly RB flywheel.. Purchased
-6 puck sprung 350z clutch.. Purchased
-Brian Crower SS exhaust valves.. Purchased
-Brian Crower SS intake valves... Purchased
-Brian Crower dual valve spring kit w/ titanium retainers.. Purchased
-Brian Crower valve guides.. Purchased
-Turbonetics water/meth injection kit.. Purchased

Power goal is 350whp at 15-20psi on 91 pump +meth injection.

I will be updating this thread as my build comes along!

Heres a video of my last event at WSIR, with my buddy Jeremy, on the current KA-T set up.

Yes, this is pretty much a must for the oil drain. I tapped it out of the way of the A/C compressor so I have fully functioning A/C.

Cheers Matts13vert!

Your KA-t setup is mental! I like it

I have a quick question for you. I noticed you got that solid steering rack bushing & the JGS rubber engine mounts.. Do you feel any vibrations through the steering wheel at idle? I'm trying to get a feel for how it will behave when I get my solid engine mounts and that solid steering rack bushing by trying to understand how your 'softer' setup feels. Curious if my the fillings in my teeth will be rattled out at idle lol.

Thanks man!
No honestly you dont get much vibration through the mounts.. when new the JGS are stiff but after they break in it gets MUCH better. If you get solid anything harder than rubber you will get tons of vibration IMO just go with the JGS mounts my engine moves max 1/4" side to side maybe less That's with a STOCK trans mount which will be soon swapped for a PEAK performance poly mount.

Update!

Got some more shit ordered since i started posting here again.

I got my Boost control solenoid, Ordered .040" over Wiseco pistons and Eagle rods, got the 20g turbo, and through my good friend Jeremy I got a Turbonetics water/methanol injection system.

So after some research I decided not to convert and run on e85 for various reasons. The new set up will run on 91 pump gas and a 50/50 mix of water/meth injection, which should give me the same benefits as running e85, but without all the cons of e85.

So as a result my new injectors will be 750cc and I will most likely be keeping the 255lph walbro I currently have.

Ordered my (actually 3 sets for Jeremy, my GF, and myself) pistons and rods through real street performance and should arrive anytime this week.

As for the boost control solenoid, another good friend of mine gave me a good tip lol. A company called MAC makes air valves which is the SAME solenoid AEM rebrands and marks up the price a fuck ton! I ended getting it on ebay for $15 brand new and is the exact same as the AEM boost control solenoid.

A few months back I bought a Greddy Informeter touch which last weekend I traded for a gsp 20g turbo. I figured since so many people have had good luck with the 18g on sr and ka's so I'm gonna give the 20g a go. Since I will be running the AEM EMS I will also be using their serial datastream gauge which basically makes the informeter impractical, so bye bye it went.

Here a pic of my current parts pile minus the pistons and rods which havent arrived.

Over the weekend I decided to pull my KA out and put it on an engine stand to begin the tear down. Less than 2 hours and a bunch of shenanigans later its out!
