Government exists to feed. It exists to take tax money and turn it into food for its growth. That's what it does.

Why would government work to destroy itself?

Why would California work to put itself in the hole? So that it can tax more? Starve itself so that its prey would become accustomed to draconian measures and be willing to fleece the rich? Sounds like a way to stay poor.

Doesn't sound right, does it? Politicians use office as a stepping stone, getting as far as they can before spinning off into the private sector, using their connections to line their pockets. If they are making unpopular decisions, why would they endanger their future?

On the economic front, numerous sheriffs and chiefs across the country have said they won't be enforcing JACK SHIT as far as Covid-related restrictions and fines are concerned. Curious to see how the insubordination plays out as I Christmas shop at local stores and order food from local restaurants from the comfort of my sofa.

Perfect example of why these lockdowns shouldn't be happening. Crazy to me that my dictator governor (Newsom) is doubling down after losing in court recently. No less after being caught violating everything he preaches. I've unfortunately seen more and more posts of people losing their businesses with this second sweep of lockdowns. It's bullshit. Life is inherent of risk, and you should be making your own choice of it. I think if you want to go out, you should be able to. Mask up, keep from other people as you can. If you don't want to, then you don't have to, like this guy. People who don't want to go out will do that of their own choice (rightfully so), no need to make an ordinance for it.

Not zero. There's been a lot of impropriety. Way past margins of error and a higher number physically. But this also the largest participation of any election as well. The issues happen to hurt Trump's count, so it looks like it. I don't think there's enough of it to change the results, but you can't say there's no proof of anything.

Covid is serious, that's why people who want to go out should mask up and distance as you can. Those who want to stay home, can choose to do so.

Ummmm... There were quite a lot of BLM protests not social distancing at all. Nor were the people celebrating the media announcing Biden winning. Literally random people sharing champagne with each other. That's an everyone being over the pandemic issue, not a left/right issue. Contrary to your belief, lockdowns drag it out longer, not make it go away quicker.

Not to derail too much, but BLM at its core was out for a human rights issue. Yes, I agree the end result is increased exposure.

My comment was towards the lockdown protestors out doing exactly what lockdown is trying to prevent.
