Paranoia Agent was cool.
Another short series but It was done really well. Interesting to watch.
I'd say it is worth checking out. Modern Anime but good.

My boy actually just turned me onto anime, he told me to watch Claymore. Its actually not that bad.

i recommend a show called "akagi". it revolves around mahjong, but understanding mahjong isn't required, because the show focuses on the psychological and mind game stuff. the drawing style is unique, maybe a little offputting at first. and the titular character is badass.

mononoke (different from princess mononoke, but all miyazaki stuff is cool too) has awesome art style and interesting stories.

those are my favourites from the last few years. most new stuff is pretty crap.

Claymore was interesting, but I can't watch shows with bad soundtracks. And that show's sucked.

Every show that I've recommended is not only good, but also guaranteed to have a badass soundtrack that you probably wouldn't mind listening to on the side...

i saw a chick standing at the bus stop a week or two ago with a cat ear hoodie and it made me want to jump out of the car and plow her. but 99% of the time it's a different reaction.

my nerdiest buddy and i are going to start Anime Night on thursday nights. some of his suggestions, some stuff that stuck out to me, watched while playing Dominion or chess or whatever we feel like. we'll be sampling the following this week:

Gurren Lagann
Air Gear
Code Geass
Gunslinger Girl
Gunsmith Cats
BECK Mongolian Chop Squad

also, i remember watching this one show where these guys were fighting spirits or zombies or some shit, might have been a special police task force... there was a chick with a sword, it felt kind of like Bleach in nature... i know this is incredibly vague but can anybody help?

...oh, and i read a while back that Funimation is going to be re-dubbing Initial D, and they're going to do the whole series. hopefully they won't give it aural HIV like Tokyopop did... i still haven't watched Fourth Stage yet, i think i'm going to wait until the Funimation dubs show up.
....fuck subtitles, i'm not Japanese.

I just remembered that Funimation has it's own TV network.
I was spending the night at someone's house and I remember watching something really terrible like Boogie Pop Phantom on it but being super excited.

Yeah, and seriously, that Tokyopop I.D. sub was so so trash.
Stage 4 was boring.

your talking about Tokko it was showned dubbed on the scifi channel, it was an overall interesting show
