Big ups!!!

got the bellhousing and flywheel of damien in a1turbos in newzeland. top guy and good value too. its expensive for all the conversion gear as the 1uz only came auto, but i went with it cos its so damn light. its only a few lbs heavyer than a sr20. full alloy block and heads.

this one is stayin fairly stock, but i have a spare engine that im gona build up for next year. should be good for 500+ and about 8.5-9k rpm.

Yeah, the motors are engineered GREAT - much like the 2J but better because its a V8, haha.

I will eventually get one with ITBs into my S14.

The fabrication work looks pretty damn good, but I am worried that not enough engineering went behind the placement of the rear subframe and front suspension pivot points. The rear subframe looks to be too low in the chasis to me, which will throw the rear roll centre out of whack. The roll axis of the car will most likely be far off, lower in the back.

i know where your coming from, and i had taught about it, my original idea was to have the axle low, and for the rear lca's to be parallel to the ground when driving. to make the car squat like a gokart or track car. my thinking behind this was for wide track, and very hard rear setup. but i have since thaught about it several times and am indecisive. im going to leave it as is for the moment, and see what its like when i drive it im completely unsure how this whole car is going to handle as it hasnt realy been done or tested before . its no big deal to change and remount the axle, a good days work will fix the geometry.

It is VERY good to hear that you did at least think about it. Great fabrication work!

Right, assembled most of the drive terrain, and sat it
down off the spit for the first time in a year.

Engine bay all prepped seemed and primed.

Inside and tunnel seemed and primed.

New fab’d cradle for the fuel cell.

Seriously wide on the front, alot wider than rear,
may need overfenders on my overfenders.
dont wory though, ill be spacing the back and have dishy wheels, so will look sweet.

next is the cage, thanks to wayne from swrc.
for bending the tube with his new benders, top guy.
Main hoop, front legs

rear x brace

DASH BAR

Triangulating the front end out to the turrets.

started on the door bars, and triangulated rear end

x cross braced the door bars.

started on the passenger door bar.

rear triangulation bars.

rear harness bar

started to mount the steering rack and pedal box
off the dash bar, I decided to put the box over the
rack, and not on the floor. Less room but will
look a lot tidier.
