Scratch on fresh engine deck
So unfortunately while taking my engine back from the machine shop I scratched the engine surface. Bottom end is built, and it was decked. I would normally send it with copper spray, but I plan on using a Tomei head gasket which is precoated. Do you guys think this will cause an issue? It does catch on your nail.

It doesn't protrude into a passage so you should be fine.

I'm assuming the gasket is multi layer as well, so you should as mentioned, be fine.

You can go ahead and buff it down with some sand paper and then use a scotch brite pad to help smooth it out.

I scratched my block near cylinder 4 between the cylinder and the water jacket. I was really concerned about it but I've got her back together and she's sealed. I didn't sand it or try to smooth it out, I was even more worried about deforming the surface of the block. For what it's worth I'm using a Tomei headgasket and I used copper spray also.

Leaky Injector

That's for the oil draining back into the block from the head so it isn't pressurized. It probably won't leak but if you want put a dab of ultra grey on it right before you bolt the head down similar to what you do at the front cover.
