throw S13 coilovers, people are doing it now, will require cutting/welding.

No power steering. and i think they are lacking in differential options if your looking to drift. Id think you would want to invest heavily on freshening up the suspension.

i was just worried about the weight distrobution, it looks so long in the front

I remember seeing this car at Button Willows?? Streets of Willow??? years ago! He had the whole car covered in paper mache (sp). hahaha

here is my 73 240z with SBC v8 it drifts pretty well.

i bought a 280z with 68k miles on it. even though it was a low mileage car, it was still 30 years old. 30 years breaks down & deteriorates parts. so before you brought the car to the track or a drift event, or even making it a daily it would be a great idea for you to refresh the car and do hella maintenance. drifting is already hard on a 'new' car, so itll be exceptionally hard on an older car. long story short, its possible but will require more money than you think. the first thing that failed on my car was the upper radiator hose.

Here's my friend drifting his 280z with stock suspension and a welded diff that we dropped in before an event. He has since moved on to an S13 as a daily. To be honest, I wouldn't recommend it. It was a fun experience though.
