those door lock screws !!

hey guys,

want to remove the door lock..
those screws drivin me nuts. any trick how to get those open?
dont want to mess them up at after the first unsuccessful tries...

Best to use the proper sized screwdriver. I use a Snap-On #3 Phillips which has an integrated hex boss at the base of the handle so I can use a hex wrench to assist leverage. Most importantly, make sure the handle is not misaligned. Finally, apply pressure into the screw by bearing down on it as you slowly apply turning pressure.

Remember to be careful and don't hurry; once those soft screws are boogered up you may as well get out the drill.

Use this with a ratchet or impact gun. Lean into it. Zip - done.
