You guys are diehard lol, i think majority of the showings will be 240 guys. From looking at the registration, nearly 1/3 of the registrants are 240SX owners. Official count we wont know till at the door, but i believe this will be a very big event.

wait, really? I got the email about paying via paypal as well. Don't want to call anyone out, but it was a driftday.com staff member.
also, I wanted to know to know if for whatever reason a car were to not pass inspection for autocross would we be able to get a refund minus the entrance fee?

You didn't miss out, unless:
1. You like getting searched and padded down like a criminal before being allowed to enter the venue, 2.You like having the wannabe department of homeland security search your car and go through EVERYTHING, 3. You like going to meets with no music 4. You like driving all the way out to San Bernardino to experience all of the above. Otherwise, the ONLY good part of the meet was talking to old friends at the vendor booths. I got to talk to Jon Kurayama from HKS and pick his brain about tuning my FCon VPro. Oh and finally seeing the Cobb tuning GT-R and Performance Nissan GT-R was also fun. |

USDM180SX isn't bullshitting. They went through everything, even the trunk and all its contents. I feel bad for those people who had coolers full of shit that had to be dumped in the trash or left outside the gates for anyone to take. I'm surprised Homeland Security didn't have those mirrors they use to check under the cars for bombs..Can you believe it, they even made me throw out a bag oranges that I had in the car. WTF Did they think I would use those as some kind of Aerial Assualt Weapons or what.
An advance warning by the organizers would've been nice in the original post.. |

I must admit, as even the vendor responsible for this event i wasnt even able to sneak in water or any food, nobody was able too. Those security guys were absolute pricks, they were not hired by us, they are part of the Orange Show security Staff and i almost wanted to throw them out. I can tell you to say the least that is the last time we are having a venue there. I got practically a cavity search getting in, and the most absurd part is we're the ones running the show. We apologize to those that came, we hope our future venues are not as bad as a hassle as this one.

Haha homeland security? Those guys looked like the drop outs of the biggest loser. We were not informed that there were to be no food or drinks entering the venue. As far as i know, all i knew there was going to be is security watching the venue, no mentions of what they were going to do.

I had to work today, but I guess it was pretty lame...this homeland security is bullshit if you ask me: our borders are wide open but we can't even have an orange in our car? I actually got pulled over for not having a front license plate and the cop said it was a requirement of the homeland security act. BS

it wasnt bad, you gotta go with people you enjoy being around to enjoy car meets. If you go with people who get bored and tired, you aint gonna enjoy any car meet..
Was chill. stayed for a little bit, since i dont have a nissan i feel a lil left out lol. but i still go to these meets. I always loved the Zs. There was some really sick Zs out there representing the low low =p Cosworth had a booth out there.. they looked lonely. Ive seen them at a few other car events with booths. Not many people know or appreciate what they do, maybe if they had a demo car sitting out at their booths they might get more crowd attention.

Vendors were even pissed. They pulled out early cuz it was so wack. I believe it was falken and another company that just bailed 3 hrs early. Many vendors were upsets. Oh well. I think I just came down to it being so far.

It was worth it for me seeing as I was autocrossing, but the rest of the thing was kinda blah. Dude, racepar1 won ventus or falken tires plus wheels for $4! FUCKIN AYE!!!
The guys doing the raffle didn't mix those tickets well enough. Same ppl kept winning over and over again. That was so lame!
