Hey guys!

I'm in the process of mounting my roof spoiler on my coupe, but I'm not sure on the best way to mount it. Do people really use double sided tape? Couldn't you see it through the glass since it rests on the glass sorta?

Thanks in advance!

Double sided tape. The red 3M kind. I have the inch wide one. Holds crazy good. I set it down for one second and had to pull it back off cus it was on a little off center and it was a HUGE pain to get off within that second or two. Just stick it on, push down for a little bit, and let it sit in the sun maybe for a little to let the adhesive heat up. Mine holds amazing. And it doesn't really matter that you can kinda see the tape because it's barely visible. Unless you're just looking for the tape. Then obviously you can see it.

Anyone with an S14 have some 9 or 9.5 wide wheels on the back, if so could you get me a measurement of the outside to outside? Please?

Thanks!

Doesnt have to be exact, within an inch or so would be fine.

now according to that you dont have to drill your rad support but you do have to drill your headlight brackets. The easiest way to figure out where you want them is to mock everything up and then measure 50 times and drill once.
As soon as everything is on, save headlights for last. The add the lights and see where they need to be mounted.
Its really easy if you have a marker and a drill and drill bits.
Thanks dude! I tried google too, but it gave me a bunch of useless links

You realize this wont be accurate unless that have the exact same spec wheels and stock fenders right?

Besides what is being with in a inch going to tell you?

I'm wondering what would be the best tool to cut out a part of my frame rail. My welder should be here on Tuesday, so I'll need to start getting this cut out. And is there any place that will rent such a tool, or do I have to buy one?

17x9.5j+12 with around -4* camber and 235/40 or 225/45 in the rear on stock rolled metal will fit good. Especially if attempting to tuck. Possibly 5-10mm spacer depending on how you want it to look. (My Varrstoen track spares will be that size and offset. It's within 6mm of 10j+18) But nobody can tell you exactly because nobody really knows what look you want...

This isnt for a 240, its for an S14 IRS thats going in something else. I am just trying to get a ballpark figure on what the face to face is going to be vs the stuff thats in it now.

Im shooting for 9/9.5 wide wheels but im not sure if im going to have to run a high offset to clear the bedside with the IRS in there.

so i found out my car was converted from auto to 5 speed. The guy told me that he put a hydraulic clutch in so as soon as you start releasing the clutch it catches friction and the clutch pedal doesnt come all the way up unless i pull it up but its soft until its back to where it comes up on its own if that makes any sense. Is it supposed to be like this?

This is my first time working with an SR

A headgasket blew and had a water/oil mix issue. Got a new headgasket, got the heads rebuilt and resurfaced, bolted down w/arp head studs. I still have a water/oil mix issue. Now to the question:

Is this happening because I didn't resurface the block since its also aluminum and possibly warped?
Or is this a result of a cracked water jacket?

It should not. Should come all the way up from my understanding. Hydraulic clutch uses fluid, vs a clutch that uses a braided line. Just play with the pedal adjustment. Stock specs are in the FSM.

im sure this has been covered but, what the hell.

This is a question about us USDM Zenki dudes with JDM headlights. (or anyone knowledgeable)

how are you using your high beams?

from what i gathered months ago after installing and recently after slightly searching online,
our high beam plug or bulb (or both, idk) is different from the JDM one.

i've read that it's possibly a h3 or h1 bulb (which? if either.) also,
will that bulb fit our connector?

i just want to be 100% certain

thanks

and gobble gobble~ lol

ok thanx for the help. Im gonna be killing this thread all week lol. another thing, my car idles perfectly but when i get around 3500 or 4000 rpm my car kinda feels a little sluggish then pulls hard again then sluggish a little again. could it be running rich? I noticed a cloud of smoke today when i launched at 3000 rpm accidently so could that be a sign that its rich or is there something else causing it to feel like this?

Best of the best is Swift.
if you wanna be like every other civic go with Eibach.
if you wanna be loyal to a brand try Tanabe, Espiler, etc...

your better off getting coilovers so you can adjust height for your specific wheel fitment.

Is there any remedy to the faux lights for us zenki owners? They just seem like tail lights with dead bulbs!!! But I still love my zenki lights, esp with the "240sx" badge in the middle, instead of the Nissan badge, reminds me of an s13 or a z32 or heck, even a Cube lol. I would rather stay zenki all the way instead of going kouki booty, since I'm starting to find kouki tails on zenkis sorta, kinda, how should I say this.... Tacky? (No offence) since the boxy "aggressive" tails just doesn't go into lines all that well with our zenki front ends, but that's just my opinion... Question is, has anybody out there modified the zenki center garnish to light up ? My idea of how the center garnish lights should operate is as if they were just lit like the corner parking lights up front, functional, but just lit so our rear lights are hard for old ladies to miss.. tried searching everywhere but nothing pops up, shall I make a thread about this?

I use brown Permatex for oil related threaded areas. It dries hard and does not ruin oil systems if properly applied.

Then again, I just checked the Circuit Sports Oil filter relocation kit on FRsport.com and it uses a compression type fitting which does not use the threads to seal, there is a conical face that creates the seal and using anything on that fitting would be useless/bad. It is designed to be assembled without any sealer or Teflon tape.

Anyways, double check what type of fittings are on there before you do anything. And don't use Teflon tape.

Second question, I was on courtesy parts & they're z32 brake inventory page is a bit confusing for me. I've got 30mm calipers so does that mean 1991-1996 z32's will all fit? Does N/A or turbo matter for those years?
