hey first off i have searched and found only dead ends. the bolts/nuts that keep the turbo to the manifold keeps backing off. i cannot get to them so i brought it to my mechanic who was only able to tighten 3 out of 4 and told me that i need to get new locking plates. i have searched courtesy nissan and a bunch of sr sites and even a 300zx site but have not found where to get them. they were not even mentioned in courtesy nissans website. if anyone knows where ic an get them please help because im tired of this shit backing off. i do not want to weld it.

have you tried just regular lock washers... i know it sounds trivial but to cover all of the bases....

frsport.com has them. they're like 2 bucks a piece for the nuts and i'm not sure about the locking plate. i just used the one that was on it already.

Why not? Anything else will just fall of, even if you used super fancy fasteners.

phase2 has them i believe. but i just used lock washers

because if i have to change anything then i would have to break the welds and get new studs because the old one was welded on. or am i wrong? i have never had to deal with this problem before except that one time i brought it to my mechanic.

Just so you know, I went ahead and changed out all 4 of the studs and used the deform-locking style acorn locking nuts, along with the locking plates on mine.

We'll see if it'll stay on, but so far I'm only like $15 into the fasteners since I kept my old locking plates.

$10 shipped for like a bag of 50 of those deform locking acorn nuts from McMaster-Carr.
$10 shipped for 10 of those class 8.8 studs also from McMaster-Carr.
