hood latch

sooo
my tires ate my hood latch.
then i tried popping my hood one day by pulling the wire to the front of the car and using a wrench to pop it.
and the whole latch just came off the front.

j/w if this has happened to anyone... and how do you pop your hood now?

need help asap... i wana do an oilchange soon-ish and so i can put my fuel press and oil temp gauges in.

You're kind of screwed. If you have tiny hands remove your cover under the bottom of the car, reach up behind the bumper n front of the ac condenser/radiator, and try to get a 12mm on the screws for the hood latch...should be three of them. I've never tried to get them off with the hood shut before though. It's all I can think of.

maybe something like this?

AeroCatch Lightweight Hood Pins - Locking

i wouldnt recommend running basic hood pins. seeing as how anyone would have access to opening up your hood.

btw.... your cars not low enough........

should be able to...if its anything like the s13's hood latch.. only a few bolts hold that thing on.

new latch is around 50 bucks from the dealer.

alright... so for a future reference for anyone...

there's 3 bolts when u look right in from where the grill is... i didn't have my grill on so it was really easy to get.

unscrew them, lift the hood, insert latch cable back in. pull it with a wrench and make sure you catch it!!
hahah
