Short Shift Prep
So I am picking up a Circuit Sports V2 short shifter from a local who used it for about 3 tanks of gas before he blew his SR, and I have read a lot about people complaining about these style of shifters rattling so just looking to prevent it. I will most likely use some of that RTV sealant, which is method i read about when I search this topic but do any of you guys recommend any other methods or additional items I should order such as bushings? All input welcome, Thanks

Most rattling is from using the white bushing that goes into the fork that is originally on the aftermarket shifter. Buy an OEM Nissan shifter bushing and swap them out.
A pic for reference of what I'm talking about:

On all the 1-piece shifters (ISIS for me) I've taken the top part off and packed the inside (plastic piece and springs) with grease. Maybe will quite it down some.

I installed the isr short shifter and its amazing. I have dramatic and intense rattle from the c-clip that holds the boot rest in place. it is very loud in higher revs. i have just been dealing with it but it distracted me when i first got it. im used to it now but i imagine one day ill take the c-clip off and either let my boot rest down or try and tighten the area where the clip rests by pinching it, or use some kind of washer under the c-clip to add tension on it.

rofl gotta give him credit for at least looking through old threads instead of creating new ones! my rattle was from the side springs being loose...circuit sport had sent two screws which I couldn't figure out what to do with them so just for kicks I stuck them inside the springs and rattle went away! did the same for my b&m and had no rattle...have also used only the OE lower plastic piece
