i have a question even thought enjuku says "1989-1994 Nissan 240SX, through dash, 1-5/8 x .134" wall EWS tubing,(More for shows, most likely will not pass any sort of motorsports tech.)

Typically, most, if not all sanctioning motorsports organizations require a minimum of 1.75"OD tubing to be used for the main structure (main hoop, halo, A-pillar members, door bars, rear members, etc.) of a roll cage. Then the tubing wall thickness is determined by the race weight of the car. Usually racecars that are 3000+ lbs require 0.120"+ and sub 3000 lbs can get away with 0.90". Then there's always the debate of ERW (Electric Resistance Welded) tubing and DOM (Drawn Over Mandrel). So it's a little more complicated than just being "weld-in" or "bolt-in." If you are interested in competing in any sort of sanctioned competition it'll be very wise to review the safety regulations!

So with that said, yes, don't expect to install ths and run a SCCA/NASA race. It does have a nice thick wall though and will fit with an interior still intact, which is cool for a weld-in cage. Also, it's very inexpensive for a cage!

I also want to add that just because this cage wouldn't pass professional sanctioned motorsports tech inspections doesn't mean you wouldn't be safer if you had this in your car versus not having anything at all (obviously installed and welded professionally) if you just attend regular track days (HPDE's) or other non-competitive high performance events. This cage plus a 5 or 6 point harness would definitely be safer than nothing and your everyday 3 point seat belt.

Hey, I would recommend getting a freight quote yourself. I just had a complete engine/tranny shipped to me from NJ for less than $400. They go by weight, working it out backwards I paid about $0.70/lb. If you can get a legit shipping quote, I'm interested.

Besides, Enjuku does not stock these roll bars, they drop ship directly from S&W so the shipping quote was not accurate in your case since they are in PA.

Hey thanks for the interest. S&W has a flat shipping cost of $109 on their website: Imports, 1989-1994 Nissan 240SX 10 Point Roll Cage Race Car Dragster Chassis, Roll bars, Cages, Suspensions, Parts which is obviously much better than the $195 Enjuku quotes. So I think my estimated price of $375 shipped to anywhere on the east cost (which Miami is) is more than fair.

This cage can actually be used in some sanctioned events. 24 hours of Lemons (24 Hours of Lemons - Home Page) and ChumpCar (ChumpCar World Series | home) requirements for sub 3000lbs cars is 1.5" OD x 0.120" wall OR 1.75" OD x 0.95" wall tubing so the 1.625" OD x 0.134" wall dimensions of this S&W cage would pass tech.

As for the rear strut bar, make me some offers!
