Well aFter alignment, running 1.2 degree camber out back with the 265 on a 9.5 +15 rim with pulled fenders. Lots of grip and the stance is awesome with no rubbing

Ok need a little help here. On my car S14 I have Fortune Auto 500's and spl arms. They car isn't very low like most others, I guess you would call it 4x4. I bought some xxr531's in 17x9+25 and 17X10+22. I know that 275's will go out back just not sure about the fronts. I see that some people say 255's fit up front. I looked into a 245 but would much rather run the 255 if I can get away without any problems.

235/45/17, 245/40/17, 255/40/17

I'd do the 245/40/17, but 255 isn't much more wider then 245.

Yellow- You're going to be cambering those rear wheels in quite a bit so 275's might be out. If you want max tire out back, you need a higher offset.

fak they had a +35 for the rear but I thought it would be in too much and hit the coilover so I picked the 22.

well after looking at my order it looks like they are 20's. I could have sworn they said 22's. I guess i better stretch the tires in the rear lol j/k. I'll have to see how it looks on my 4x4.

I'm running +36's and I know of others that have ran +38's. I have maybe .25" from the coilover to the tire/rim, however I do need an alignment. I think I posted a few photos on recent pages back...

I run 10j+38 on rear with 275/35/18 and clearance with the shock isn't the issue. it's the lower control arm that's the issue at that point.

18x11 +30 295/30 barely clears the coilovers and LCAS for me. the same setup in 17" wouldn't work because of the LCAS. 17x10 +35 would be cutting it too close probably but you could just do some tiny slip on spacers if necessary to make it happen.

You're going to be cambering in quite a bit and you'll probably need a good sized pulled for the rear.

nice, i'll probably have to run something close to these offsets (I was thinking sticking to 17x10s all around) when my widebody gets here from japan this month or next. Was thinking of running a 275 but who knows yet. I have been looking into what wheels are out there and it looks like best plan is to just go with a custom wheel like ccw, rebarrelling a good set of bbs' seems to get in the 2-3k range, so might as well just get new wheels.

my s13 is for road racing so that's why im sticking to a 17, I can clear willwoods and keep my OD small.

I have really agressive offsets for maximum tires. Those flares are on top of widebody fenders. I built my car for traction. I think it sticks to the road pretty good with my setup..

Nice. Whats your total added flare width? Mine are going to end up about 50mm front and 60mm in the rear I believe

I would have to say about 130mm rear and 100mm fronts. Front camber is at -4.8 and rear is at -1.6

05subiesti. Ya it crossed my mind but I already molded in the quarters and it will be easier to change a flare if one explodes.

Wow thats awesome. Gives me hope I dont have to run such negative offsets but I guess we will see when the kit finally gets here. Idealy I would run rpf1 17x10 +18 but I dont think that will work without spacers so ill need to look for other options :/

Who knows though maybe the enkeis will work. As long as I fill up my flares with rubber and clear my brakes and suspension ill be happy.

17x10 +18 RPF1 will work. I am running 17x8.5/9.5 RPF1 +38 and have a small spacer on the front to clear the coilovers. Nitto NT05 275/40/17 out back and I still need more grip.

I want to sell my current RPF1s to go to the 17x10 +18 all the way around, 255 front 315 rear. No way would that setup clear my stock fenders though.

I was going to run the 17x9s before I went with the wider setup. Thanks for feedback. Id really like to run enkeis so I have affordable and off the shelf wheels incase I kill one on track.

Then why did you post in the "maximum" tire thread!?!

You are correct though.... not even close to maximum tire fitment for an S14 and the fact that you have a wide body on said car. You should easily be in the 305/315 area out back.

Anybody ever see Billet Specialties 17"x11" wheels? At $400 or so each, they are a deal compared to other wheels that are wider of 10" and are light.

I am looking for other options besides heavy Mustang replicas, and that are far cheaper than wider SSRs or Volks. Want 315/35/17s or bigger.

They are very popular among mustang and cobra drag racers, and they are seen on road race tracks as well. The Billet Specilalties Street Lite model comes in 17x7 to 17x11, with backspaces from 3.5" to 8.5". They don't explicitly call out offset, but you can do the math. The 17x11 retails for around $369. Each 17x11 weighs 23.6 pounds.

link

Billet Specialties | Street Lite 17" | Billet Specialties, Inc.

positive that the guys in the drag zylvians thread have experience with the 15" rears and fatty drag radials, but as said above I am interested in a 17x11 with 315/35/17 tires. I can't seem to find anyone that has done it on a 240sx, and if I did find someone who had I would be curious as to which backspace they chose. I am guessing that a 4.5" backspace on a 17x11 wheel would stick out past 50mm overfenders. I can't help but imagine the look of a blacked out 240 with Rocket bunny flares and 17x9.5/11 staggered wheels with near zero backspacing and fat, functional tires on them. Man...

pic on some guy's camaro for reference

This is a sad day.

I have to step down from 245/40/18 to 235/40/18's in front of my S14. It is mostly due to it's fitment and functionality of the tire size. I love the 245's in front but 245/35/18 tire prices and selection is not the greatest IMO. It was between 235/40/18 and 265/35/18...and 235 was cheaper. :/
