You kidding? You are getting raped my friend. My machine shop labor didn't even break 3000 with sleeves, honing, soda blasting the top and bottom end, +1mm valves, bronze valve guide install, polished crank and a complete blueprint and balance of the entire rotating assembly.

What the fuck man? Lol

There's tons of 400+whp GT2871r SRs out there.

Hell iirc there's a 440whp one. Just gotta remember who he is.

Edit- I bought some more stuff for my bullet proof SR. Tomei type B dual valve springs and brand new Nissan VCT lifters.

Now the only thing left stock in this engine is the rockers, crank and cam gears. Lol. Bought a WS harness to. With AEM AIT and MAP connections, w/o ABS also. She's gonna be ready and fired up by next month! Numbers soon!

says little over 1.3bar for manifold pressure, so I want to say somewhere right around 19-20psi

14.75*1.35 = 19.9125

my boost controller peaked at 1.4-1.5 bar however the guy that owns the rollers said, "trust me, my reading is right" lol

Seems like a little bit rich to me? Or do you guys all tune to 11 afr? I run mine at 11.7-12.1. Would you guys consider that unsafe? I'm also running meth water injection.

The thing with meth is, you run out! So having a safe afr underneath is a good thing. I tune pump 93 to 11.5.

Clearly the stock cams are holding him back. I say run 1bar make the same power, and about 30 less torque. Boost appears to peak at 19.5psi then falls to about 15~. I personally wouldn't encourage a tune like that, but it does have it's place, just not on a street car.
Torque curve looks good. Recommendation: 264 cams and external waste gate. Probably won't have to tune the afr after cams and proper boost control.

My mapper set it To 11.5 to be safe, slightly different afr reading to what he got.
yeah I don't think ill get much more out of it without cams.
however the engine now has 140k on it so not sure how it will hold out.

such a fun car to drive. Very easy to drift even with stock LSD

Running out of gas is not the same thing as running lean. Contrary to popular belief.
One will have you sitting on the side of the track crying!

Only 2871R I have used ..

S13 Engine-

Forged Motor
Stock Cam's
810-815cc Flow benched Apexi Injectors
Ebay Exhaust mainifold
MegaSquirt 2 "Extra Coded" ECU setup for 250KPa MAP Sensor and LC1 Wideband Target AFR trim control that Me and Bardabe 1/2 way Tuned .. Needs tuning past the 160KPa or 9PSI

Made 286WHP on an AWD Dyno Dynamics that reads on the lower side .. Some how when we got to the dyno and started tuning we lost the clip on the wastegate so all it would boost is 9PSI @ 5600 or so RPM and above .. Made great power for only 9PSI .. Im impressed with the 2871 and the MS ECU ..

What do you guys think of this setup?

S14 SR20det
Garret GT2871r 52T .64 A/R @20 psi with HKS actuator
NGK #8 iridium plugs
Tomei Exhaust Manifold and elbow
Isis Downpipe, test pipe, and 3" straight pipe
Greddy Intercooler and Oil Cooler
Tomei 740cc Injectors and Fuel Pressure Regulator
Z32 maf
Tomei 1.5mm head gasket, head studs, rocker arm stopper
Tomei 260/260 12mm cams, type A valve springs, valve guides, retainers, stock intake cam gear (to keep NVCS) and Tomei exhaust cam gear
new oem rocker arms
Greddy Intake Manifold and 70mm N15 throttle body
Stock internals (maybe new piston rings and bearings)
other supporting mods etc, etc..
Enthalpy ROM or Apexi PFC (Which would be better?)

What numbers do you think I could expect with this? Would this be a good setup?
Thanks.

Cool, what about Nistune, are they any good? I'm kinda iffy about going full standalone since it will probably be a street car and I would rather just get a ROM tune. Aren't Nistune roms fully tune-able just like PFC's?

When do you guys recommend replacing the stock fuel press. regulator?
I'm currently running a S15 T28 with 550cc injectors tuned on Nistune making 286whp with the stock fpr, but I plan on upgrading to a 2871r soon and shooting for ~330hp ish.
Should I upgrade to an adjustable fpr or sitck with the stock?

I think I might just get Tomei poncams and keep the stock valve springs. I've heard VCT is more likely to fail with stiffer valve springs. Is this true?

Do yourself a favor and build your bottom end. Who knows how much abuse and mileage your motor has gone through. I have almost the same setup as you do except I have a Sard FPR and I run the HKS FCon VPro which uses a MAP sensor so no MAFS for me. My car was street tuned and my butt dyno guess is around ~350whp but my tuner said once we throw it on a dyno and clean it up it should be at ~380whp.

The stock fpr is a simple device, just like a thermostat or radiator. Some people think they're magical at what they do!

You can test your fpr by attaching a vacuum/pressure source to the vacuum port.
Add some pressure to the nipple and make sure the FPR is able to hold that pressure (20psi) 30sec-1min all the same. Same thing with vacuum, you should be able to hold the FPR open for a minute and not allow the unit to close.

Aside from physical leaks and such the stock unit should be capable of supporting the low hp levels you want to achieve.

380 max on anything but a Dynojet or Assdyno

Back in the early days, It was stated that an s13 SR needed to have the head gasket replaced if you wanted 300hp. I always said, If you're going all the way down to the head gasket for 300hp, you might as well just do a full rebuild. I'm kinda still sticking to that type of thinking except, I have changed 300hp to 450hp.
SO for 450hp you should be on a fully rebuilt engine, no exceptions!<--for me

side note:Have you every notice, the opinions of some members? It's like you can tell their political party preference, by the way they encourage a build or respond to a post. Just sayin'!

I have seen the OEM fuel regulator fail around 330-350 horsepower. And the injectors go full open, the engine gets just enough to keep running yet lean enough to melt everything up. Just sayin'

Ahhhhhhhhhh yeah, so the fpr closing caused the injector to go static?
So priming the fuel system causes injectors to go static!?
Actually no more of this my friend, I once saw, or super-street said.. nevermind
