So I hardly spend anytime working on my own car lately, been helping a friend with his 1986 Starion 2JZ-GE swap. I'm doing the wiring for him. So far its been a rear brain scratcher but for the most part I think I have it figured out. Should have it up and running in the next couple of weeks. Car should be pretty rad when its done. He also upgraded the steering from the shitty starion gear box to a s13 rack and pinion. This winter he will be swapping over to a complete s13 knuckle/lca/coilover/steering set up.
And the fusebox/ relay setup to run the 2jz with. I'll see if I can get some more current photos of this thing this weekend.

I dunno how laggy the 2860 is, but I would guess it's pretty responsive. I have the smaller brother to it, the 2560-4 and it made pretty good power, but if your wanting or needing more get up and go, I suggest Tomei 256 cams, matched pair. I put those in and my car woke right up.
read your thread again today, love the progress you've made! The car looks amazing as well. keep up the excellent work and I look forwards to seeing more updates!!

So car doesn't look the same any more.
Then installed it last Saturday. Color between the body kit and the car is a bit off. Best guess is that the person that painted the car previously had used a bit darker of a sealer. After that loaded everything up and drove the car the 5 hr trip to Shawano,Wi to USair for DD49. Event was a blast. Absolutely enjoying this car.

Depends how the light hits it, either way I'm happy with it. Really pulled the car together in the looks department finally.

Man, haven't updated this in quite awhile.
Left off with some DDay49 coverage, the weekend after that Dirty Love did are yearly demo for Elko Speedway. Was nice that after DD49 all I needed to do was mount more tires. After that, it was all about the #finalboutprep, which pretty much only involved me patching aero, finishing a bash bar, and mounting tires. More effort was put into getting the tow rig set up. A friend and I made purchase of a 36' two car trailer. Which so far has been absolutely awesome to have. With the lack of time what was originally meant to be metal ended up being a wooden tire rack. Still worked out pretty well. The whole tow rig. Then it was off to what would end up being one of the best events I have ever been to ever. Dirty Love Drivers (Andrew-s10 / Me / Brett-D21 / Jesse - sparkle13 / Chris - smurf13) Andrew finally to get some good driving in in his 2jz swapped s10. Although the truck is far from an s10 anymore given the motor, custom frame, mustang irs in the rear, rear radiator, and plenty of other custom stuff. Thing is pretty awesome. Such an amazing event, looking forward to Final Bout 2015 if they have it. Next up was MAP Proving Grounds Round 2, the weekend after FB. During the course of the weekend at FB I managed to crack/bend one of my rims and tear off my exhaust. Quick fix during the week and the cars where back on the trailer for BIR. Isn't much to post about this event. There was a competition on Sunday, I was able to qualify 1st and also place 1st so that was pretty cool. A lot of the local guys have been progressing quite a bit since last year. Made the comp a blast. Some photos First Round of comp was against my friend Sam and his sr20 s13 Next round was against Alec and his v8 D21 Final Round was vs Ole and his rb25 hatch Was some pretty good battles. Few other photos from the weekend. Towards the end of the comp I started to notice a lack of power in the car, found out my turbo was only held on by one nut. So right now I have it torn back down, just need to reinstall with new locking nuts, and gasket and the car should be good to go for Drift Day 50 at USAIR in October. Other things that have been going on would be that we have slowly been making additions to are shop. Spent a day cleaning and re-organizing in preparation for winter projects and the addition of a paint booth. All cleaned up. Cars put back in, fit a lot better now. Last weekend we started on building our loft/paint booth. I think its about 24' by 16' if I remember correctly. Hopefully that will be finished up in the next couple days. That should do it for a bit of an update.

Yeah, fills up fast though once we start parking cars in it again. Need to build a couple more workbenches, try to keep most things on caster wheels so it all can be moved out of the way.

As being that my car has been in storage and I will not be bringing it to the shop for awhile. Here is another project we just finished wrapping up with.
S13 Coupe getting a S14 sr20det swap, fmic, single bash bar, relocate battery to the trunk. Went pretty well. Looking forward to seeing this car rip at events next year.

Have had more time to work on our DL Garage Knuckles and 25mm Extended and Gusseted LCA's as well. Really happy with how these things turn out, Can't hardly tell they are extended from the top.
