Man pulling the trans off and on is still a pain in the ass if it becomes a regular occurance :/ especially because I prefer pulling the whole engine when I do trans/clutch related stuff.

The receipts are perfect man. You just have to show what you paid and what it cost. If they try and reduce your numbers make sure you fight back with your own proof. Such as work estimates, and using the retail value of what parts cost in TODAYS MARKET could be higher.

We will get you the most for your damages and hopefully you'll be back on the road sooner than later.

finally got a number very low, the insurance only offered me $4400 plus i get to keep my smashed car its such BS im going to have a really hard time finding a good s14 for that price let alone getting my SR up and running again

i might sell the S class and use a small amount of the money to buy a good gas milage car and the rest to finish my 240

I'm still trying to configure the Dakota box. It has been a struggle. I plan on using the wiring from the sr sub harness to tie into the reverse sensor.

George has been pretty busy lately, i'm sure he isn't going to screw anybody over, i'm excited for the s13-z33 axle adapters he's currently making.

anyone else doing this conversion? concerned about dealing with those 2 companies. thinking of just waiting for the jwt kit to come out

vibrations are coming from the actual gear box it self or from it touching the transmission tunel ?

Ben at JWT mentioned it to me about it. Only thing about their conversion requires you to use their Flywheel. I believe you will have to source a Automatic SR20DET Transmission Bellhousing. And the conversion plate they will be using is between the transmission & Bell housin

Or you could have Speedtek Industries in Aus do the conversion for you. They use the Cut&Shut method, welding the sr20 bellhousing flange to the cd009 bellhousing. So no adapter plates or kits are used. Seems to be the most popular method over there. They will even source the transmissions for you if needed.

Also for anyone using the transmission with internal slave cylinder I've gone through two oen units already in under 3k miles. Do not use an oem concentric slave with an aftermarket clutch. They aren't up to the task it seems

Did you go with the Z1 heavy duty internal slave this time? Or the external slave conversion kit?

Bump, need some advice guys.

Im running a Z33 adapter plate, very similar to George's (1/2" thickness). I'll be running the Mazworx shifter, Collins transmission mount and the bell housing will be machined 1/2".

Now my issue is this. I have a new OS Giken TS2BD Twin-Plate clutch to go on (and probably break my leg!) But the issue I have that i can't get my head around is what Fork/Release Bearing & Sleeve combo I need?! Its a CD009 trans, so no internal slave to worry about.

My understanding is that i'll be retaining the Z33 fork and clip but using a SR20 release bearing and sleeve? What size?

Because.. OSG state to use an 16mm release bearing on a standard S14 SR20 setup. But I've also read that I need a specific OSG releasing bearing and sleeve combo (http://www.frsport.com/OS-Giken-NS04..._p_232007.html)

Can anyone shed any light on my problem pleaseeeee

Here's the OSG instructions: http://www.osgiken.net/upload/d43.pdf (Clutch - TS2BD, S14 SR20 clutch)

Can anyone tell me how much they're paying to get their bellhousing machined? I'm having a tough time finding someone who could do it in Denver and I don't know what I should expect to pay? Looking to shave a 1/2 inch to fit my adapter plate.

I paid $180 to have my first one done. second one I'll probably ship to maverick since they're cheaper. call around to your local machine shops. the shop I used had to pack clay onto the bellhousing to keep it from ringing while they machined it.

switch to s13/14 flywheel and clutch, then everything else is the same (I don't know what driveshaft length you would use though)

4.11 Final Drive seems pretty short though. you'll hafta use a gear ratio calculator to see if it suits your need since I have no idea if your car is a street car or track only.

4.11 isn't enough of a difference from s13/s14 4.08 to matter. If you have a 6sp s15 it should have a 3.6 which is a good match for the z33 trans.

i had a 3.53 with the CD0009 and it was bloody long, the 4.083 IMO is a much better final drive. kind of feels like a 4.6fd without the bloody tall cruise RPM's
