there isn't many builds on this site that i ever comment on, but nice build, i like where you're going with it. i've never been a fan of the kouki valances (zenki's would look better ), but to each his own. nice to finally see a car without the ugly body kits and kept simple. keep it up

Not to much of an update on my car, just trying to figure out an electrical gremlin before tuning on the 6th.

A friend and I have been working on doing some side work at the shop. We are currently working on a high angle kit for the s-chassis. Which includes modded knuckles, extended and gusseted lcas.

The kit is turning out very well, plenty of angle, no binding in the rack, no crazy wheel flop. Looking forward to running it this year.

Time finally came to take the car to get tuned. Had the tuning done by Shane up at DB Performance. Great guy and he did an awesome job on the tune.

Final numbers where
284 HP
260 TQ
@ 14psi

Pretty happy with it, should do well for the events I plan on attending this year.

Hey nice build! I live in andover MN and need a tuner. How much did they charge? What ECU'S do they tune?

Shanes a good guy! Knows his shit. He tuned my rb on e85 and is gonna retune once the engines back in.

Was charged for the 2.5 hrs of dyno time they needed to tune the car. Their website is http://www.dbptuning.com/cat/ Give them a call, they would know best what options they can tune.

Finally got a chance to drive the car, and holy shit, so much better then last year.

Now a lot of you may not get excited about a 280 squirrel sr, but compared to the 190 something horses I was pushin last year this thing is a whole new animal.



First chance to really test out and drive the car will be May 24/25 at DD48, which is at USAIR, Shawano, WI. Two days or killing tires and tandem trains with friends.

Most definitely, even though I hadn't driven my old setup since maybe last November.

Will be putting the new DL Garage knuckles on the car to test out at DD48 as well.

Finally got some time to switch these rims to a proper color (Hyper Silver)



Then installed my DLgarage Knuckles and added a 30mm bolt on spacer to my 17x9 +17 rims. Car gets plenty of angle now. After the alignment I am currently running the fronts at 8º of camber. Hoping to bring that down to 4º-6º once I buy some 8" rims for up front.

Did some drifting at USAIR for Club FR's DD48. Event was awesome and the car ran perfect. Also the DL Garage knuckles preformed awesome.

Thanks dude, this past weekend was a blast.

Well DD48 was are first chance to try the knuckles out. They felt amazing and drove awesome. Not sure exactly how much angle they add but it is more then plenty. I spent the weekend trying to throw the car as sideways as possible in some spots and the front wheels still gripped.

We are ready to start making them right now. Basically you just send us your knuckles/lca's and we will extend and gusset the lca's and also modify the knuckles.

So a friend (the guy that drives the blue hatch in a bunch of my photos) and I have started are own small shop called DL Garage

We currently have a 25mm extended LCA mod paired with knuckles modified for zero ackermann steering.



Just got are bender ordered, dimple die set, and few other things. Hopefully soon we can start making are own suspension arms.

A core is highly suggested, but it would be a 25mm extension on whatever core your supply or a 25mm on the core we provide.

Couple more photos from the Modern Automotive Performance (MAP) Proving Grounds 2014.1 Event this past weekend. Despite having the turbo work itself loose of the manifold and not bringing nearly enough tires. Chris and I managed to bring home a 1st Place in the team tandems comp. Weekend was a blast.
