Did you strip the original door fabric off or go over it with the Bride material? What did you use to tuck the fabric in the groove?

Still no progress on the car itself- just a lot of running around like crazy to get ready for the vacation. I did have a couple of things show up yesterday though: PMU rear pads for the Z32 swap: ![]() Ugh, let's try that again... ![]() Tanabe fender braces- totally unnecessary and hidden when installed, but I figured "why not?": ![]() Seriously? This cat has a magnetic pull to parts, lol: ![]() I still need to order conversion lines and rotors- then I will have everything for the rear brakes. I'll get back to work on the car and post an update again next Friday. |

I have the NAMS Gacchiri, and they actually made a big difference, I can really feel the power of my biceps now.

I'm back from vacation and ready to hunker down on this thing. March is the last true month of winter around here if you ask me (aside from the occasional dip into April) so I really need to get to work on this bay if I have any hope of having the car all back together by June first.
Unfortunately I only had time to spare on Friday, but I did make some pretty good progress on the passenger side. There are still some small areas that need attention, but for the most part it is in good shape. Planning to spend tonight on the driver's side and see what I can accomplish. ![]() In other news, I think I am coming out of my short Blitz 03 obsession, lol. I'll probably just keep the TEs for this season and see how I am feeling next spring. It's hard telling with me, though. |

Looking Good!
The more work you put into this stage, the better the final product will be... so keep it up, and remember what all the work is for!!! |

^ Thanks guys!
The weather was unbelievable here in Michigan yesterday, so I decided to get adventurous and see if I could pull the car out into the daylight for the first time in about five months. I got a little crafty and ended up getting the car out of the garage: ![]() It was filthy from all of the sanding and grinding going down in the garage over the winter, so I decided to clean it up a bit... so that it could sit back in the garage some more. ![]() ![]() ![]() I worked on the sanding while the car was out in the sun, which was a really nice change of pace. Pretty cool to work in natural lighting for a change, haha. ![]() ![]() Got it back into the garage by tossing the subframe on and using my floor jack as a dollie, lol. Really need to get a legitimate dollie to transport this thing to paint: ![]() I ended the evening by throwing down a coat of SEM etch primer. Things are looking pretty solid at this point! Now I just need to find a way to get the car to the body shop as soon as I can. My main car-hauling dude is going to be out of town for a few weeks, so I'll see what I can do. ![]() |
