I wish I had pictures. I was rocking 15's on my S14 back in 2002/2003. Bought them from jspec.com On my stock body they looked great. I think they were either hasemis or hayashis. I can't remember.
I also had 15's on my s13 in 2007. I remember people on this forum saying how they didnt look right. I am debating now to run 16's or 17's on my current S14. It is tough finding a good 16 inch wheel in a 5 lug though. |

^i'm running bbs style 5's LOL. they're 16x8 +20 but with the 5x120 to 5x114 bolt pattern adapter they come out to +0.
i like the way they look.

16x8+0 is the perfect size for stock-bodied S13s. My tires are a little too meaty right now, though. Gonna sell them and drop down a size in width/sidewall.

well guys, i will be departing the small wheels world soon. ordered myself a set of 17x8.5 and 17x9.5 Advan Super Racing Generation 2s from Japan to accomodate my increased HP after i get the car tuned later this month. its a sad time that most tire manufacturers have really scaled back their 15" tire width line up. i need at least 235s in the rear to keep the rear end planted after the tune i will miss my meshies...

50mm. I got these locally for super cheap, these are reps made by chaser aero, called M-sports. I have an extra set of legit origin type 1s and they fit like a glove, but I prefer running the cheaper reps. The fitment on these are garbage, I pushed the outsides together to pinch the flare before riveting. This bubbled it out a little adding clearance. I also mounted them a little lower than normal to help the 15s fit.

Thanks! I'm actually gonna be going with 15x9 +0 in the front and -12 in the rear. I see those are 10js you have with with some wild negative offset. 50 mm seems to do the trick on that setup. I might see if I can roll my quarters out to fit mine or get a pair smaller size overs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Maaaaaaaaaaaan who needs grip when you have style? All those Aussies from NICEVIBE run like 195s on 300+ HP cars lol

sidewall height is another factor for me. im not huge on 50s or 45s on a 15 inch wheel. it requires the car to be slammed to the ground to make the car look good... and im really not into the whole "hellalowomgscrapetheholychristoutofmyframerai ls" look. i prefer functionally low. so again, back to where i started with tire sizing. only company i know that makes a 55 or 60 sidewall by 235 in 15s is micky thompson.
to be honest, i really dont have the patience, time or care to hunt down some random odd 15" tires anymore. 17x8.5 and 17x9.5 will allow for a much larger range of tire size that is a lot easier and cheaper to find. i can go back to Federal 595s again in the sizes i use to run on my last 240 and call it a day |

Dude, I tried to tell him to run a stickier tire awhile back. His car is so badass it won't even hook with a 235 drag radial. He knows, I assume he's tried mickey's before.

meh, id rather own another set of wheels that ive wanted and lusted over for the past 13 years of building these cars rather than waste my time hunting down tires that i wouldnt be happy with performance or looks wise... so attitudes and phone jockey shit talking aside, i dont really care about running 15" tires anymore.

How does everyone not know about this site by now?
I feel like I've been posting this shit on a board every two weeks for the last three years and people are still all "will 205/75/15 look goods????DUUURRRR?!?!" www.willtheyfit.com Thur ya go. Everyone can be sick tyte jdm wheel fit gods now. IMO the "dorisha" butterzone is 195/55-60/15 or 205/50-55/15 on anything from 15x9-10. That simple. Any larger tire or narrower wheel typically looks like poop or that you bought a wheel and tire package from LesSchwab
