Yeah i guess you are right man, i've inspected all the suspension parts and stuff and surprisingly everything is ok, not the best but ok... well for the miles it has, the previous and first owner was in his late 60's when i bought the car of him which was about 6 months ago so i know he didnt where out parts by trying to drift or stuff like that. As for the engine, hardcore maintenance has been done to it, but not completely been taking apart or anything like that, but all the "outside" stuff is pretty legit, im surprised it pushes pretty strong for the miles it has, i wonder how long it'll last me lol but thanks man i'll do as u said baby it till a swap is ready. Thanks!

I mean, theres lots of things you can do to the car that wont cost a lot while youre saving to swap the motor. Q45 front brakes are a good cheap upgrade, usually run under $150. The cupholder mod is another cheapie thats on my to-do list, you can get used shocks and springs for a few hundred. Id go over the car with a fine tooth comb, and fix everything that I could before swapping it (cuz you know its gonna take twice the beating it is now once its swapped).

One of my favorite mods ive done is a Circuit Sports V2 short shifter... got it for $80 and it makes the car so much more pleasurable to drive. Plus it works on KA and SR, so you can keep it when you swap (if you go SR).

I never rub hub rings cause they are retarded accept in certain situations. If you live near a Discount Tire they should have a ton of different hub rings in stock and ask um for some. it would be easy for them to just test and see if some fit. Most likely like 73.something mm's like most aftermarket wheels turn out to be.

Assuming you have an s13, then yes, s14 LCAs will help. They are slightly longer than the s13 ones, thus pushing your wheel hub slightly further out.

Contact the manufacturer and ask them what bore diameter they use. Or get some calipers and measure it. This isn't rocket science.

Been looking for new rear ball joints, but I am only able to find fronts. Just wondering if front and rear's are the same for the lower control arm?

2 quick ones.

- if I stick to my stock shocks/struts and get lowering springs is 17x8 (around 20-25 offst) w/ 235/45 tires a good size all around w/o pulling fenders? S14
I just wanna get rid of wheel gap, have a healthy drop, and sit flush.

- what should I use to repair my cracked SE lip. any tutorials?

Quick question, I read that when you're swapping an auto to a 5-speed (in my case, my 1996 S14) you need to match the manual ECU year with the car year? Is this correct?
i.e. Since I have a 1996 S14, I need a 1996 5-Speed ECU?

I already bought all the parts I need, which most came from a 1997 S14. I was wondering if the 1997 5-Speed ECU will work fine with my 1996?

Thanks guys!

Okay, I've done some searching and I've got some conflicting information. I got a 93 240 with a sr20det redtop. I want a/c. Now I've got the compressors from the sr20 and the original motor. I've got the a/c braket from a sr20. I know custom lines have to be made, but what is there to do as far as mounting everything up? Do I have to have the KA lines switched over to the sr20 compressor for it to work? I just need a little info and any would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Is my J30 diff going out? I've been getting stuck going up/down driveways beause when it 3 wheels, The diff will power the wheel that's in the air and the one that's on the ground does nothing.

Also, it doesn't lock in 1st gear. I can drift 2nd/3rd gear all day, but if I try to do anything in 1st gear, it's a 1 tire fire....

I have a s13. I want to put some lowering springs on it and drop it about 2.25 inches all around. Will all the stock linkages be able to adjust the alignment back to factory specs?(about 0 degrees of camber and 0 degrees of toe in back is what I am most concerned about.)

No. You will need a camber adjustment kit or camber plates for the front, and rear upper control arms for the rear.

My sr20det clip came with a gauge cluster that has a "o/d" light on the left side. Does that mean the cluster came out of an automatic car? The clip came with a manual transmission.
