Is it super close to the steering and tearing? I've seen that happen.

Turbo-to-engine is fixed, there's no movement there.

use something other than a worm clamp. they have a sharp edge on them that can cut the hose. try using an OEM spring clip, or the OEM wire clamp.

Good point! bought some aba clamps.

Also, if anyone is adamant on using a clutch fan like me, KA fan clutch works on sr engines. pepboys, autozone, etc have them in stock.

I swear I've tried to install a KA fan clutch before and it was not working out. Weird, maybe it was a fan and clutch.

Oil drain definitely tore from the worm drive clamp. Good call on the ABA.

Yeah fan is definitely different! Cheapest and safest way to cool the engine IMO.

Oil drain was since changed out to AN fitting. thanks for the comment!

it was that white s/c 370z. he was having issues with some of his couplers and left after the first session. Kinda sucks we didn't plaques like everyone else did, though.

Battery, i may have missed it in the thread, but what did you use for ducting for your air filter? i want to try something like to draw more cool air to my oil cooler.
Also, take more pictures of the new paint. I'm loving the updates!

Oh! I do remember that Z being towed away.

They did that to me last year. I think they do it on purpose as a bad running joke. Lol!

I think he bought some tubing that is for directing air into an area you want. Looks like the the dryer tubing for the house but its made specifically for automotive use.

Jake, search "3" duct hose racing" on ebay.

Few updates..

1. Brembo f50 calipers (44mm 40mm) with 14" floating rotors front
PFC08 pads front

Rears are still z32 calipers/rotors with pads upgraded to Hawk HT-10

2. Volk RE30 Front 18x9.5 +22 Rear 18x10.5 +25

15mm spacer front, 18mm spacer rear. 30mm over fender front, 50mm over fender rear

3. Hankook TD Front 275 35 18 Rear 295 30 18

4. 180sx tails (Left and Right only), ebay center wrapped in black vinyl. reverse cutouts were cut to mimic oem style, stock 240sx lower garnish. This set up will cost significantly less than full kouki setup if anyone is interested.

Onto the pictures,.

I just saw this on Nissan Challenge as I just joined the group.... Your build is very similar to mine, but had a question, I have 18x10.5 on the front and going 30mm extenstion in lower arm....

Did you pound the firewall to get full articulation in the wheel and tire? or maybe tire size is smaller?

Cool stuff

Hey welcome to Nissan Challenge. I have 18x9.5 +22 (265 30 18) and 15mm spacers in front (circuit sports s14 FLCA) and have no issue with it rubbing on the firewall, only on the front wheel well area.

.................................................. .................................................. .......

few pics from last event.
Streets of willow 1:23.4xx
Wasn't able to beat my personal best lap time with hankook TDs and brembos so clearly I'm doing something wrong.
I'm gonna get back to drawing board and figure out how to make this thing faster.
