It's a KA engine with about 157K on the odometer. No major modifications to it.

The power steering pump makes the whining noise until you spray a little water on it, then the nosie goes away for a few seconds before coming back, right? If so, my issues only occures when someone steps on/holds down on the gas pedal. Once you take your foot off it, noise is gone. Or am I confusing the PS pump with the water pump?
With that amount of driving, it is safe to say this is not engine knock.
Not sure if you are confusing the two pumps, but when the PS makes noise it can mean that the fluid level is low.

Not sure, I have only tried the Bride FG rail and it is great.

Again, not sure, I am using a Recaro.

yes, they both use the same seat rail. most of brides bucket seats all use the same rail.

buddy club rails SHOULD work with bride seats given it comes with the bracket adapter for the sides of the seats (so you can move the seat forward and backward when mounting as well as tilt it)

EDIT: google is your friend... bride zeta/vios mounting in a 350z with buddy club rails...

Do I need to match a turbo outlet's size to the turbo outlet elbow? IE if the turbo's outlet is 2.5 inches I would need a 2.5 inch turbo elbow right? Or would a 2.75 inch and 3 inch would still bolt on to the turbo of a smaller outlet?

Has anyone ever had an issue rebuilding a turbo and the oil seal by the exhaust wheel being too big?

I'm specifically rebuilding a GTiR T28 and used a kit that's supposed to work for journal bearing T2 turbos. Once fully assembled, the turbo won't spin because the shaft isn't fully inserted. Deduction leads me to believe the metal seal is keeping it from going in.

LED's work better, and are brighter, same ones that go in your dash cluster

When doing the Z32 brake conversion, it says to use the same bolts but should I be worried about how close the bolt is to the rotor? (This is not fully tightened btw)

Recently picked up a AEM UEGO. Never owned one before so this is a first time experience. 2 questions.

1. Will it replace my OEM 02 Sensor?
2. Can I wire it up into my radio harness? or give it its own power source?

1. I believe some can but typically no, it doesn't replace your OEM O2 sensor. Usually you want to retain the stock O2 and place the wideband further from the turbo because it's more sensitive to heat.
2. Yeah they draw next to nothing. Cigarette lighter is super easy to get to if you haven't already used it for an accessory.

Yeah I didn't think it would replace the OEM one. Would a test pipe with a bung be a ideal place for it?

EDIT: Hopefully I can. The ebay test pipe I have has a bung where I can potentially place it? Would that be a good spot?

I have mine at the end of my downpipe. The test pipe is also a good spot for it. You can wire it into the radio, but I just tied mine into my other gauges going to the ign wires under the steering column.

I want injectors that will be good now and just a good later, rather than something specific for my car at this second. So would DW 740cc have any cons for me currently?

You want to increase over 750cc/300hp.
You may as well just buy 1000cc injectors right now. Why? They meter fuel better at every rev from 650 to redline better than any other size. This is due to the way the injector is constructed, it's precision, and it's accuracy in metering. I have see build specs for 425hp that demand dual injector set ups, and I have seen some that are straight single fuel rail. The one thing the over 400hp builds have in common is larger displacement from 2.1L - 2.2L, so you are going to be spending lots of money anyway to get to where you would like to be

I got a spin/drift knob and I went to install it but my e-brake boot will not budge at all. I tried with all my might to pull it off but nothing. Anybody know how I can remove it? Will heating it up or spraying something inside help at all?

I personally twisted to get it a bit free and wiggled/pulled because it was on there stiff. Maybe try some lubricate or something.

If you are considering a transmission swap, you use the KA clutch on a KA. Unless you are pushing more than 350'#Tq, an ACT XTSS will be fine. You only need to swap to a multi puck set up if oyu are pushing beyond those numbers, then of course you only use the clutch that is a little above your engine's Tq.
Example would be a KA @ 400hp. It does not go above 350'#Tq so the XTSS does the job very well from OE to 400hp

Where you see larger parts in KS vs Z is in the transmissions gear sets. Larger, thicker gears are used, but beware the Z32 transmission's weak 3rd and 4th gear synchro's. This weakness was corrected in the 6 gar Z33 transmission

New to the forum

Hello my name is Alex and I am new to the site. I am looking to purchase a '89 hatchback shell and I was previously looking on my cities craigslist at a full sr20det swap but the ad was removed. Where do you all reccomend to look at for quality sr20det's that are low miles and somewhat built (upgraded turbo, bigger injectors, larger heads, etc.). Really looking forward to seeing your guy's input on this question. Thanks everyone!

The d21 hardbody flywheel is 240mm compared to 220 ka24. The non turbo z32 uses a 240mm clutch.
Yes it will be over 350tq , 1994 hardbody
Ka t67 water meth fully built

Ka motor> d21 flywheel>z32 non turbo clutch> s13 trans> Dana 44 rear end

Plans are drag not drift
Thanks

tried to buy a mishimoto rad on here but the deal fell through...

hopped on craigslist today and found a random new s14 rad for $60. cool. so i bought it because im eager to get my car running after my oem rad took a shit.

come home, compare, and realize that i think i bought an automatic transmission specific rad. (i have a M/T)

example:

could i just shut/weld those fuckers?

what do you guys that have done 5 speed swaps do?
