Its a glorified civic with a hair dryer strapped to it that is 50k; 15k of that is markup. that my friend it DIW. the fact that people are even willing to buy this garbage is even more DIW.
Except that it is incredibly well sorted, entirely daily drivable & very quick around a race track? The car is an engineering marvel, it is faster than the Focus RS, STI and Golf R around most any track, while dealing with its 'handicap.'

Maybe you're just a close-minded being who doesn't know what is good & what is not?

Curious what's faster around a track:

Nismo 370Z vs Civic Type R (Including mark-up)
Base / Touring 370Z vs Civic Type R (Excluding mark-up)

Um.. Home depot flares? Picture of a picture? Perfect 5/7 for the quality of the Ad. Looks actually like a nice exterior minus the flares.. Only gonna cost you a mere $7000 Craigslist Link

Single Cam, with unknown mileage and a rotted frame. Asking $4k
Props to a working HUD and no dash cracks tho.
Honestly not that bad, but $4k?? Seems a bit ridiculous, but if someone is will to pay it, then have at it.

There isn't as plentiful info with the civic as its relatively new, but there is some out there. I will admit its nurburgring lap time is impressive. either way, im done with this because we aren't going to get anywhere

Thanks Zilvia... today class, we are learning that 0-60 and 1/4 mile times are the only 2 things that determine what a "fast car" is...

You're comparing the $23k Civic Si to a $36k STI.

There's no mention of the Civic Type R in that post whatsoever.

Idiot.

Idc how fast it is, the new Civic Type R is ugly, dumb, and overpriced.

If you're gonna get a Civic, just buy a used one on Craigs for a few grand, daily it forever, and spend your money on an actual sports car.

...And speaking of Craigslist Civic beaters, check out this beaut I found in mine today. Radio harness wires just touched together and electrical taped. Top quality work.

I think likewise is some trinket brand trying to implement the expectation that people who run an entire subframe of 326 parts would use their 326 Styled lug nuts.
But in reality the people who buy their lug nuts run subframes like the one pictured below.

But they could just be trying to look good by slapping their lug nuts next to a bunch of 326 parts and then comparing them to shittier parts ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

That's 326 showing off their suspension customization. They do anodized/laser etching for their parts (if you're willing to pay for it)

This thing shows up in this thread every few months. It's worse than shown here. Molded S15 tails and shit, and all the work done by one of the least reputable shops in DFW. Spent a good amount of time in an impound too, one of the owners was trying to sell it while it was still impounded even. It's probably had 8-10 owners the past 4 years, and the only good thing to say about it is the paint isn't awful.

When I bought my 240 a few years back, it had two different sized wheels up front, a 10 and 10.5.

Today, I was going to sell the spacers I pulled off the rear when I initially stripped it.. they too are different.. a 20mm and 25mm.

Just why.

I could tell the fronts apart right away when I bought it, but the back wasn't very noticeable because the fitment was still garbage even with the spacers. The worst part is, the spacer studs are m12x1.5. Non hub centric at that. Just... why.

I could have started a DIW journal with the car.

These people are out in there in the real world, even if you don't want to give them a platform. I just don't understand the logic? What did he really expect to happen? I know we are living in the instant gratification age aka hoon for the likes, I'm just interested in how he's going to handle this. Personally I would head to the local hardware store with a few friends and fix it myself.
