I have always been the first to open a woman's door, offer help to a stranger. But my mom never told me to hold a woman's purse. I have slightly different views on gender roles. I wouldn't ask my girl to hold my briefcase or backpack. My stuff, my responsibility. Same with hers.

I write because I enjoy writing. It's not a chore or a favor, I get to see how I can play on a teachers political views to influence him/her to grade a paper. It's fun. It's the only part of school I haven't considered work.
