Theres countless threads on whether to mount your bov on the hot or cold side, but i haven't found anyone on this... I want to mount my bov on the cold side since I eventually want to upgrade to a top mount set up. CAN I cut this recirculation tube off and weld the bov flange there?? Ive heard the bov should be about 6in from the throttle body. Im sure its been done before but i just want to double check if its a good idea.

Not really sure whether this question should go here or the wheel fitment thead but...

trying to figure out tire specs is like pulling teeth... Ive looked left and right trying to figure out what size tires would fit well for 350Z Anniv. Wheels.

Does anyone know what specs these tires are, or have any close guesses? Im not trying to go for the hellaflush fad, I just need new tires and want something that looks nice and will clear my fenders so I can drop my car some more.

Heard the guy that owns this car was on here, but I have not seen anything of his car or him.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

350Z anniversary wheels are, F: 18×8 30mm offset / R: 18×8.5 33mm offset.

215/45/18 would be an acceptable tire size for the front.
235/40/18 would be good for the rear.

Anything less you will begin to enter the realm of tire stretching.

There's always a ratty looking drifty S13 sitting in front of Street Legal on WR Blvd. You can't miss it, it has American Racing 15" steel wheels, a bunch of decals on the windows and essentially looks ran hard and put away wet. Whover owns it may let you test your HUD. Also, hit up Jermaine at teh paint shop on College. There is a red one they are working on or they may let you test your HUD with. One more on WR/College, a small tint shop with a primer black one down on the bottom of their drive/parking lot, but it's hard to find them open...but the car is always open down on the hill by the building(converted house)

That should get you started

well I don't mind stretching some ... I just want to be able to dump the car to the ground without rubbing. I think I want to run a 225/40 front but not sure about the rear because I don't understand tire sizing

I had the 17" base model 350z wheels which were 8 inch up front and 8.5 inch in the rear. I did 205/50 front and 235/45 rear.

Tire sizing works like this...

Example:
225/45/18

225 = width of tire in mm, 25.4mm in one inch. Thus 225/25.4 = 8.858267716535433 or 8.86 inches of tire.

45 = the percentage (45%) of the wheel width (225) that will equate to the tire's height. Thus, (225 * 0.45) = 101.25mm of tire height (or about 3.99 inches).

18 = Easy one, wheel size in inches.

Pivot balls

Has anyone used the Circuit Sports clutch fork pivot ball instead of the Nismo one? The reason I ask is that the CS pivot ball is $22 and the Nismo is $70 from enjuku. The CS pivot is made of S45C mid carbon steel. I haven't been able to find anything on this. I'm about to do a 5-spd swap and am in the process of ordering all the small stuff.

If my Ecu is tapped by a safc and I want to disable it could I just unhook the power wire and the ecu return to stock? I'm pretty sure it will, just want some assurance. Thanks.

I got home from work late afternoon today and after parking the car and turning it off I noticed this. Does anyone know what happened here? Any way to open it up and fix it back into place or will I need to shop for a new tachometer? Do things like these usually mean there's a bigger headache in the near future?

Got it, went out and checked it... Didnt look broken, but I put the extra 10a fuse in anyways. Still doesnt work. The horn started working again, but I get nothing from the turnsignals (no green arrows, clicking, or blinkers flashing). Any other ideas?

Under the dash on driver side isone of the fuse boxes. The fuse for the turn signals should be in there left side 3 one up from bottom. It should be a 10amp fuse. Double check it. The one for the horn is under ur hood on the fuse box by the battery

It'll last as long as you don't glaze it over, or heat spot it to death...just like anything else. If it's got a removable friction surface you can easily change them whenever...

It will be ok there, but it will run like dookie unless you're recirculating it anyway. (assuming you're running a MAF)

That should be fine for a drain, it's about what size factory is.

Spring on external wastegate, or on internal? Internal would be tough to tell without using a mighty-vac or similar.

External just tear top off and look at color spring

No blown fuses anywhere in the fuse box inside of the car.

Peicing together a powersteering system for my 90 hatch with s13 blacktop, I have the isis high pressure line, pump, bracket, and resevoir. Can I just use good quality rubber hoses for the rest or do they need to be power steering specific lines?

Rubber hoses are fine, I've been using mine for years with no leaks.
