This might sound like a stupid question and it may be normal,
But when I have the windows down and I am hard on the throttle, there is a very strong smell of fuel that I can smell. Is this normal or what? lol

I have a code going for my MAF, EVAP Canister, Knock Sensor, and Crank Position Sensor. This week or next week I am going to be checking the MAF and do some trouble shooting with it. I will try and look at the EVAP also.

if your canister's full/plugged or whatever that can give you a strong gas smell. if its leaking it will do the same thing. a malfunctioning maf (if its reading more air than your actually getting) can also cause it to run a bit rich, with little to no driveability problems. knock and crank position you'd have to figure out whats goin on. i'd clean your maf and get your evap code taken care of, but its probably the evap system

I get a slight rattling/tapping noise like rough airflow coming from the engine (when you put hand to rocker cover, you can feel the tapping) at a particular rpm (2k~) happens on accel and decel, as well as in neutral holding revs. Could it be a cracked rocker arm? Blacktop SR20DET factory engine, no mods except exhaust.

I put solid pbm risers in a while ago on my s13, and the rear end noise is getting worse. I have a welded diff and I know the noise was going to be worse, but it sounds like my rear end is going to fall off and hop into the air when turning in a parking lot. What should I be looking at first?

i would chase them all the way, a lot of the wires in the nissan looms wrap around and loop back but eventually lead to something

Is the S13 brake pedal the same as the S14? Some say it works and some not. Anyone out there that actually installed an S13 brake pedal on an S14?

i highly suggest you get the FSM and just look it up yourself

if you just count the pins you will probably fuck it up and cut the wrong thing, and if you look up the pins you're already half way there

My ss oil feed line broke off at the banjo fitting, is there anywhere that sells just this line? I already have the 2 coolant lines.

I found this one but I don't see a banjo, the one flange looks like it's for the return line. It doesn't make since to me lol

I'm going to ask this again. Is it possible to piggy back a tuned ecu with emanage? Only to make fuel adjustments.

May be a stupid question but, I've always wondered the "correct" way to install the rear coils... Which side of the bottom bracket goes out (towards the head of the bolt) and which side goes in (towards the knuckle/upright or whatever it's called)?

Long side towards upright? Or long side towards head of the bolt?

Screwdriver handle is on the long side of the mount. Figured that would make it more simple for some people...

I had 'em mounted whatever way before, but now that I got new coils, I may as well install them the "correct" way.

Either risk it, or get someone with a truck to attach chain to tow hooks and tow you there like that. Fuck paying an actual tow truck for hook up fee, and one mile. Lol.

Once my alternator seized up on me (which is the same belt connected to the water pump) So I decided to bite the bullet, cut the belt, and make it home which was about 8 miles away. The car started overheating after less then half a mile. So basically did a stop and go type of deal. Thought I blew HG for sure. Got a new belt. Did compression test and it was str8. Hasen't overheated since.

I know its not quite the same but just to give you an idea.

Right now my ecu is stock. I am trying to avoid removing my emanage and making a hack job of my wire harness, since I have everything soldered and wrapped nice and clean. The problem is the emanage does not do anything with timing, only fuel, and that sucks. I would like to get my stock ecu tuned and then use the emanage to do some fine tuning if need be. I know people do this with the safc. Just wondering if anyone has tried with other piggybacks

Are s13 and s14 lca's different lengths? And are the ball joints the same size/taper?

different lengths (10mm iirc) and the ball joint tapers are different. but you can get separate front s13 balljoints and press them into s14 arms so it works
