dented oil pan

just bought this oil pan and noticed a dent that i've circled in red. the dent is not visible from the bottom of the pan. i'm 99% sure it wont affect shit, i just want peace of mind before i install it. so, think any harm will come from it?

p.s. cool points for you codyace, members like you keepin this site alive and well.

question about overfenders

i noticed that some models have it where the fender stops just above the body line where as other models go all the way down to the edge of the body.

i haven't found a consistency between different brands whether one brand does it, or doesn't. or if one model is wider or not.

whats the difference and what brands usually run their fender all the way to the bottom of the body??

this, going all the way to the bottom of the body:

VS

this, stopping right above the body line:

I have metal shavings in my oil pan, there are some bigger about half a cm, but most are sand sized shavings, there are some markings on the inside of the engine but not much.

What does this necessarily mean? Spun bearings are something worse?

You are going to need to take out the bottom nuts on the motor mounts. Then get a cherry picker and lift the motor up a couple inches to be able to slide the oil pan out. The oil sump will make it feel like it won't come, but just do some wiggling and it will slide out.hope this helps!

i'm trying to figure out if i need a new steering coupler. I rotated my u-joint (the one that connects the steering shaft to the rack), and I hear a grinding/clunking kind of noise. I have bad vibrations/shaking in the steering wheel past like 55/60 mph. When I downshift at those speeds and the rpms increase, so does the shaking (even if I'm maintaining the same speed). does it sound like a bad coupler? and would it be screwing up my alignment?

What is the bolt size/length for the 3 bolts that attach the brackets on the s14 core support to the bottom section?
Ignore the top arrows. At the bottom of those 3 front horizontal brackets, those are the bolts I'm talking about

Pm me if you know, thanks

I've noticed that most 30mm overs stop at the body line while all 50mm overs I've seen go all the way down.

guys i have a s14 with a sunroof and i want to remove it. is it possible to remove the sunroof rails and motor and just leave the glass have it tinted and buy a non s14 headliner + dome light?? I was thinking about just welding a piece and having it painted but this could be easier and i would get the necessary head room.

Your probally going to have to get it welded. the non sunroof headliner wont fit right with the glass still in there.

What is the easiest way to get off the big oil pan? I can not get it using the prescribed methods. The one housing the main girdle.
