not trying to rain on your parade but, real sileigthys didnt come with the OEM black tape around the body of the car...just saying

personally no, i hate that stupid stripe nissan decided to put on the S13s. its a pain in the ass to get off the car without scraping up the paint on the bumpers. comes off the metal fine, but the plastic is a entirely different story for removal

^^huh thought I was one of the few rocking that set up. Not a fan of the black line tho, white cars look way cleaner with no line. Anyways here's some more pics of mine.

Thanks man! Here is a better look at the black line. It continues better on this side. Once I repaint the car I will most likely get rid of the line because I would like to keep it authentic.

The strip on my fenders and front bumper are just electrical tap lol it's exactally the same size.

Not sure if im right but here it goes..

Sileighty is basically a 180sx with a silvia front end. The silvia front end originally came on coupes only.
As you know wrecks are common when it comes to drifting, especially in Japan where they do it in the mountains. When a front end was damaged, alot of drivers found it to be more cost effective to put a silvia front end on rather than the original pop ups.

So the answer to your question is.. there is no such thing as an original sileighty ... how you want it is your own personal preference.

Let me bring you up to speed a bit...

The real Sileighty was infact produced as a legit car licensed from Nissan thru a tuning shop called KidsHeart in 1995 thru 1996. KidsHeart built 500 cars and were all individually numbered. They started with a fully loaded 180sx Type-X trim (there may have been a few Type-R trim 180s as well, bet you didnt know those existed did yah) and installed a brand new S13 Silvia Aero bumper along with brand new OEM S13 Silvia "Brick" headlights and an OEM S13 Silvia GTR Style Grill. Oh,. As far as I remember, the car was given a NISMO 1.5way LSD, OEM Nissan strut bars front and rear, NISMO Springs & Dampers, NISMO Catback, boost was upped to 14psi I believe and an array of the interior came with an array of goodies.

So yes, there is such thing as a REAL Sileighty. Exterior wise there was no stripe, a 180sx Kouki Wing, 180sx Kouki Side Skirts, 180sx Rear Valances (which started on the Chuki 180 btw), 180sx Kouki Tail Lights, a S13 Silvia Aero Bumper, S13 Silvia "Brick" Headlights, S13 Silvia GTR Grill, Sileighty Side Glass and a Sileighty Tail Light Center garnish.

Oh, and there is this nifty trifold pamphlet Nissan had printed up for KidsHeart to help promote and sell the car...

Those were knockoffs, I got them for REALLY cheap. I got sick of the look of those and went back to my stock fenders that I flared myself. They were a little rough, but with a litle finishing bodywork they would have looker REALLY awesome. I can't believe I got them to flare so nicely, probably couldn't do it again if I tried. HAHA!
