Gram Lights17x9's front and back 12+ if i remember. Hoosier R6's But i am designing some special 10 and 10.5 carbon wheels for next season to test out. Should be interesting. My car here was in the middle of a wide body design session when i had to slap the old stuff back on to do Cali Speedway Redline Time Attack a few weeks back.

Last couple of setups have been rad. I thought about 255/40 NT01s on 17x10 RPF1s myself, but decided to spend the money elsewhere and stay on street tires. I have nothing new to post here, and 245/40 on 17x9 is hardly "maximum", but I'll throw a pic up once I get the ride height sorted.

OK guys, one question from myself, why youre throwing big tires (> 265') on your cars ? (No negative statement).
The Garage Saurus S14, which laped Tsukuba in 57 seconds flat have 17x9 with 245/40 in front and 17x10 with 255/40 in the rear !. The tires are A048 from Advan, ok these are semis but i still think it gives you something to think... Which none-semi-tire width will be comparable regarding traction of the stated above A048 sizes ? |

Is this Thread about racing legacy or fitting awesomely humongoid rubber on your S-Chassis?
Let's get back to the Topic.

I have been running 9's front and rear for 2 years now in time attack. And as hard as i throw the car into corners (with slicks mind you), i still need more traction coming out of the corners. I can go into a corner faster and accelerate earlier coming out. So i am going to Enkei 18x10.5's rear, and 18x9.5's front. You throw more lateral load at the car, it needs more grip.
I'm having to make custom fenders for these bad boys. ![]() ![]() Quote:

Kind of a long shot but I was wondering if anyone ran a 245/35/17 on 17X9s all around on a S14. I can't find any side shots of what this looks like anywhere at all.

That is too short, it would look stupid. If they were 18's it would look fine, but for 17's, just weird looking. What tires come in 245/35/17 anyways? That is a weird size.

^^^What kind of suspension you got on there? Do you have to use any kind of spacer to get the front to fit?
To keep this on track, here a pic of my car in motion. Sorry no pic of her sitting still. 17x9+20 255/40 ![]() |

![]() Stock ride height daily. Definitely rubs. I am actually more into drifting so this is totally the wrong tire size. But you cant argue the grip.
