That would be great actually.

I was hoping that the wiring would be very close to that of the 93-94 Altima GLE but it seems that its very much off from the Japanese diagram that's listed at the beginning of this thread. So, any pics of the wiring would help, even taking apart the harness to that digital plug to see where each wire ties into the main cluster harness would be

I should still have a couple of the HUD plugs that I acquired for my '94 Altima project. It should be the same type of plug for you guys. Let me know who needs it. Send me a PM or email.

Any help with it would be greatly appreciated. If only I could find an actual PDF of the original Japanese FSM I would be golden, but since that hasn't happened yet - all I have is my little diagram I made some time ago.

I haven't had a chance to test out these few wires to see if it did anything to the actual HUD because its to cold to work in my garage, but hopefully the weather warms up soon!

NOTE: This is for the Zenki Cluster Only!

I think I'm starting to get somewhere.

I picked up another Kouki HUD cluster because this one had the wiring pigtails that were needed for the cluster itself, but not the HUD unit itself.

Here is a picture of the back of a Kouki Cluster - Notice the "Display Computer" is not located on the back of these like they are on the Zenki model.

Here is a close-up of the plug that controls the button on the front of the cluster that turns the HUD unit off and on.

I got to thinking because the wiring on the back had some blue tape on it that I've noticed before is used to tuck plugs that aren't used on some of the base models. For instance my fog light wiring behind the steering wheel was taped up because the car was pre-wired for fogs, but didn't actually come with fog lights.

So after searching I found a JDM Kouki dash harness and below is a pic of what I believe are the plugs needed for the HUD. The top one connects to the cluster and the bottom one to the actual HUD unit. So maybe all of the JDM harness' are prewired for HUD? Maybe someone with a JDM Zenki harness laying around could check?

Sorry for the bad pic - I don't actually have this dash harness yet, but its on the way! After I receive it I will take it all apart to see what wires go where exactly.

hey so sorry i kinda stopped being a part in this. been busy putting the new core support on my car. but i have that cluster coming soon. and i have the complete dash kouki wiring harness with hud plugs. ill take pics on monday. but i wont be able to follow the wires just yet, maybe in a month or so. also if you notice on the back of the cluster on the kouki, on your picture to the right there is a lot of wholes soldered, the non hud ones dont have all those solder joints. that has something to do with the hud also.

I have both of them and they are definately different because the kouki HUD has the display computer built into it while the zenki hud has its computer on the back of the cluster.

I haven't taken the kouki one all the way apart yet but I do know for sure the actual display is smaller on the kouki.

You should be able to, but the problem is that since the HUD was only offered in Japan and there is no full wiring diagram for it you would be playing a guessing game on which wires go where - this could eventually fry the unit itself and since they are extremely rare I don't think anyone wants to be the first to try.

Still waiting on my wiring harness from Japan - when this happens I'll be

i got a kouki cluster and HUD today. damn clean and i have the white plug on the back with a pigtail wiring. I just checked because the place i got it has a s14 parts car sitting there. i am having them check on the plug from the harness and also anything else related to this working.

wbarrett48473: did you ever find anymore of the plugs from the 145? if so, i would be interested in buying one if they cant find one on the parts car.

i actually have an extra kouki HUD-capable cluster now if anyone wants to buy it.

Small Update for me as well.

I finally received the JDM Kouki Dash Harness and I'm starting to take it apart to see what wires go where.

Here is a pic of the Dash harness. Notice the plug taped up in blue is the one for the On/Off Switch. Maybe on Zenki harness it's the same?

Here is the plug for the actual Kouki HUD unit.

Back side of the plug to show the wire colors.

Here is where the fun stuff starts.

Hopefully soon I'll have an excel spreadsheet showing what wires go where .

2fast4y0u - the only extra plug I have for Kouki is the On/Off switch on the back of the cluster.

Here is a quick connect guide for the Kouki HUD. I'm thinking sometime this week I'll take the whole cluster wiring + HUD out of the JDM dash harness and see if I can get it to work in my Zenki.

It's currently Exam time at school so I have been busy with that lately. Also, I decided to repaint the car myself so I have been caught up with that.

I'm thinking realistically I should have the paint done in about 2 weeks and then I can wire this Kouki HUD in.

As far as the Zenki version, I haven't been able to find a complete dash harness for one yet, so I don't know where many of the pins trace back to in the harness. The plug I found that worked was out of an early 90's q45 just so you know.
