Kanye West keeps up with the underground 'hipster'/alternative trends, and he is able to repackage and sell them right as they are just starting to gain popularity with the mainstream. Nothing against him though, I would do it too if I could. I do not really listen to him by my own choice, but if one his songs comes on the radio, it is usually a nice break from the rest of the annoying radio music.
