Got my Ultra Racing braces in. Figured this thing was going to need something seeing as S13's are about as stiff as cardboard.
From top to bottom: C-pillar bar, rear strut tower brace, Floor bar, and front strut tower bar. The parts are fairly light, but well constructed. The powdercoat is nice and they came very well packaged. I also have an NRG harness bar going in. Not sure how much stiffness that thing adds but it's gotta be something right? Rear stuff in. Don't mind all the shit, my garage is wayyyy too full of miscellaneous parts:

So I just learned that all of the parts I ordered six weeks ago never actually got ordered. Exchanged some words and now it looks like everything is on it's way. I'll finally be able to put this thing back together, sheesh!

All the braces installed and a massive cleaning of all the mouse nests and crust in the interior. Now to get the harnesses installed and the seats back in.

Yeah, got some rust encapsulator to slow it down as much as possible. This poor chassis needs a full refurbish.
I've never installed a do luck one, but this is not overwhelmingly stiff. It could use some additional stiffness in the end plates. I might end up modifying it with some more triangulation and a plate to tie into the trans tunnel. Same with the c-pillar bar, the ends could use some reinforcement. We'll see where this car goes, might just get a back half cage and not need all this haha. The strut tower bars are very well done.

Decided to do crankcase ventilation the proper way instead of hope for the best. Drilled my valvecover baffles out to drill and tap the fittings necessary. Hopefully this will be done this weekend.

Cleaned everything in prep for some painting and final assembly.
Dirty ass brakes. Slightly cleaner brakes. Scrubbed the wheel wells down in prep for an additional coating of undercoating. Taped up the bay and got everything primered, then I started rattle canning. The color is safety red, which is actually a little bit more orange than Nissan Hot Red (526). Oh well, it's not a show car, I just wanted the bay to look nice and not have all the bare metal from brake fluid. Yes the brake booster will be painted, and the fuel lines are getting replaced. Three coats of red and two coats of clear later: Also finally painted my LCAs. Now to let everything cure for 48 hours and start the re-assembly process. Still waiting on my crossmember though.

A very pretty part came today. Jon at Future Fab definitely does amazing work.
And I'm going to try this stuff on the rusty areas and in my wheel wells and see how it goes.

So the rubberized rust encapsulator looks great, we'll see how it holds up. Tidied the bay up and painted the lower rad support. Painted the spare tire area as well. Also finally installed this GKtech steering column bushing I've had laying around for probably five years haha.

Haha, yeah, I've learned that heat managment is critical when you're hotlapping cars at the track. I need to get some more to finish the section of the firewall, and then I'll be getting some thicker stuff to go above the downpipe so my floorboards aren't cooking.
Finally all one color. I was going to leave it, but I just hated the look.

What heat sheiks product did you go with? I’d like to add some to my bay while the engine is out.

More parts and stuff. Battery placement for weight distribution and such. Went and picked up Origin 55mm fender from TF-works. I'm going to pull the rear just a touch "tatakidashi" so it doesn't look quite so miss-matched. Just dropped on for kicks and gigs, gonna take some work to fit cause my chassis is a little tweaked. McLeod 350Z clutch fits on Competition "white bunny" flywheel. Bottom end is going to be damn near bomb-proof, which should help when I try to make all the torques with my little baby turbo. Got this 15x15 hydramat so I don't have to worry about fuel slosh in the stock tank. Going to run it with an AEM 400lph inline pump mounted in-tank. Has anyone come up with a clever solution to mounting the stock shroud to the bottom of a Koyo rad? It's been ages since I've even seen a stock shroud so I guess you gotta fab something up?
