It's a weird hodgepodge of good quality parts, and ricer fantasy, and it's $13k for an SR20 |

Not sure how that is "doing it wrong". It actually sounds brilliant if someone buys it. |

Cool chassis, cool wheels, shitty front end and bad attempt to recreate the batmobile.
It was done in Japan so its cool as fuck though, right? Like that BMW/Camaro/S13 thing that popped a few months back. |

This is what's wrong with the community. How much should that car be? Please show me a better example for $2,600? http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item...d=181744046304 ^ lol who the hell is gonna pay $16k for that rusted pile of shit!! No engine even!! This is what is killing the 240sx and it proves why the 240sx is an inferior car. If I bought a mint roller, built it with the best JDM shit and spent $20k doing that... You'd all be like "bro, could have had an FD or Evo man!" And when I went to sell for $12k you'd all be "wtf $12k for a a 240 lolololol!??!!!". Now that pile of shit Mustang shell is already at $8k and someone will dump another $30-40k into it and NO ONE will question that. |

BTW that G Code Mustang has 83 people watching it's auction, so clearly the value is there for someone, unlike the 6 people watching the auction I posted Last edited by scottleone; 05-20-2015 at 12:09 PM.. Reason: Proving people wrong gets me excited and I save things before I finish my point |

some of them. i always think the muscle cars are worth so much because of the nostalgia. some guys with a bunch of money want to relive or have the car they dreamed about as a kid. the Boss 429 posted above is worth alot because its really rare. less then 500 built and that was 45 years ago.

Try artificially deflate. Any car is worth a minimum $400 as scrap. General rule of thumb is reliable transportation is worth $3,000. Most 240sx seem to fall between scrap and snoozer 1998 Chevy Malibu pricing. That says something about the car, the way the world views it and its owners. |

But how many of those cars are bought by guys to young to remember them? Look at the price explosion for MK2s, E30s and 911s. Hell even Fox Body's. The 510's and S130s never saw that type of hype when they reached maturity. |

A forum full of S-chassis owners... who are upset that S-chassis are climbing in value.
Anyways, on topic: Do these silly projector headlight things ever NOT look like dook?

They always do. I say that with my car currently having set on that I got for free because I didn't have time to finish up a decent looking custom fixed headlight option.
I'm not a fan of a Silvia front on a hatch, but I've considered it just to have an easy to bolt on custom headlight solution.

Corbic, I enjoy your commentary. I really do...but if you start a fucking Mustang kick one more time I'm gonna PM you some anthrax. I know it's not the same as real mail, but it's the thought that counts, you know? kthnxbai.

WHY. seriously pop up headlights are the best thing. Putting those goober ass things no matter how good someday someone could make them look still is a bummer. << Dork FGT rant.
