That downpipe is really slick! Niiiice
Hehe I love learning the differences in part names throughout the world. in the USA we'd call the wastegate pipe the 'dump pipe'

^ Nope. I'm using a Miller Syuncrowave. Just finished relocating the barbs on my GReddy VSPL. My welds pale in comparison to some of those posted already but I'm confident they'll hold.

Materials arrived a few days ago. Going to build a new manifold for my RB and an SR manifold for a friend. Question for the manifold builders: Previously I have almost fucked myself on a few occasions welding the last runner. How do you usually get in there for the last one? |

Can someone please give their input on the structural support with this tube front end design?
I am leaning more towards doing something like this since I dont have much for bending experience and there are just two small bends and the rest are straights. |

anything in front of the front crossmember is non structural. so as long as it holds your radiator, headlights, and bumper your fine.

The most important considerations are the frame rails and strut towers - the more you triangulate them, the less they'll flex in relation to each other. The caveat is that unless you have a full cage, the rest of the chassis has quite a bit of flex regardless.
The two tubes off the front are fine, the upper radiator support is fine, but it's the down bars from the upper support to the frame rails (and hopefully something substantial between the rails) that keeps everything nice and rigid. On a side note, that looks like 1.75" tube, which would be way overkill for something like that.

Thank you very much for explaining this to me! I saw a picture of Dave Briggs set up, very simple tubing went from strut tower to a 45 degree down to the frame rail. I was pondering that also since its simple and Im not using a lot of tube (heavy).
