After 11 years and 11 different cars I finally have purchased another 95 Zenki. I will be posting pics soon enough. Side trivia... my first one was purchased by my ex and I brand new off the showroom floor. Feels great to be back in this car.

Man, the VQ35de is a dog of an engine. It's a nice upgrade from a KA, but just about any stock turbo SR with bolt-ons will bend it over at roughly half the cost of a VQ swap... It's got a liter & a half more displacement than the SR, but can't handle any more boost than that 25 year old engine. I never want to look at a boosted V-configuration engine again. Talk about overly complex... Would rather mate the VQ's Cd009 transmission to an SR & call it a day. Turbo inline 4's and inline 6's for me please.

If someone gave me all that for free... I'd sell it for a superior SR or RB or 1JZ. VQ35DE is junk.

Ehh. Test drove a HR 350z, and dug the power.... just not the car. If it was a weekend car I'd build KA-T, but my daily see 96+ miles a day. Some times hour and a half of stop & go traffic... I can't image a turbo motor liking that year round. Add to that SR parts not "readily" available... It'd be best to stay N/A for me.

You're joking, right? There are plenty of turbo'd cars that have been daily driven for 20+ years all year long. Turbo MR2s, turbo Z's, turbo DSM's, turbo Porsches, WRX's, etc... It isn't magic. Just keep up with your maintenance schedule. I did like the VQ30DET idea for a while, but even that wore off. VQ's aren't horrible, but no way would I ever willingly pick one for swapping. But to each his own, I guess.

You've already figured it out, but no one is going to take the time to move the bodyline. s14 goes through the door handle, r33 goes below.
